Can't say enough good things about this, AWESOME top.
This top is awesome! I can't believe it's less than 800 bucks. I needed something to cover my bed while I drove from VA to AZ, and I never liked the camper shells, I feel like they make it look like an old man truck, and a flat bed cover wouldn't have been enough room. I didn't even know these existed but when I saw this I was like "OH, HELL YEAHH!" Besides looking absolutely rugged with the windows zipped out, this thing is absolutely WATER-TIGHT! My truck was completely covered with snow, then I drove down to Florida through 3 days of monsoons and not a drop of water was in the bed, and there's zero wind noise. The material is VERY tight. Which makes the install a little tough. The instructions flat out tell you don't try to install this if its less than 74°. But I had to because it was January in virginia beach. Getting the frame installed was really simple. There's plenty of YouTube videos for it. But that canvas, is really, really tight. I had a buddy help me stretch it over the frame, and get the windows almost zipped in, and had to let it stretch out over night just to be able to muscle the rest of the zippers closed the next day. But this was on a cloudy 45° day. So just use your judgment when putting this together. All the reviews I've seen of tearing look like they did it in the northern states when it's cold and they tried to force the material too much. I did order 4 more bed clamps though, based on other reviews, and its good that I did, because the end near the tailgate was lifting up off the bed due to how tight the material stretched over it was, so that gave me the confidence to drive across country with it. Also, the fact that it can just collapse against the back window to open up the bed makes it alot more appealing than a hard cover.

Terrible Product
This product is a great idea but has poor design. The windows on the side and back do not stay in. There is a poorly designed channel that holds the top of the windows. The windows tend to become unattached at the top and this allows water and the elements to enter. Secondly, the zippers can only be unzipped from the outside. There should be double pulls on the inside and the outside so if you are sleeping in the bed and want to open a window, you don't have to go outside to do it. I'm going to try to return this product if I can. Thirdly, no installation directions were sent and the prc code would not take me to any instructions. All it did was give recommended installers' names.

Quality cover, with a couple inconveniences.
I Had been wanting to buy the Bestop Supertop for my F150 since I purchased my truck in Feb of 2012. When they finally came back in stock I ordered one right away. The top comes in a 3' x 5' box and weighs about 60 pounds, so make sure you have a place to store it.If you buy this product in February, I suggest hiding it in your closet until June. Bestop's instructions recommend installing at temperatures above 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The warm temperatures make the fabric much more pliable and stretchy. However, I'd suggest waiting for even warmer weather than that as installing this top in 87 degree weather is still a bit of a struggle. However, the fact that the fabric is so tight over the frame means that this top will not flap in the wind when rolling down the freeway at 70mph. Once I managed to get the top buttoned up it was evident why Bestop made it fit so snug. One reason I chose the Supertop over a similar competitor product was Bestop's inclusion of side windows. In my opinion, less visibility is bad, and the tinted side-windows that come with Supertop do allow more vision off your rear quarters than other similar tops with solid sides.Folding the top up towards the front of the pickup bed is easy to do and can be done by one person. The windows can be stored behind the rear seat of a Supercrew, provided you know the trick to lower the back of the seat. The cross bar for the bottom of the back window is the only part you'll have trouble finding a home for.I'd also like to say that Bestop's customer service is top-notch. Unfortunately my Supertop was packed with an incorrect bracket. A quick call to Bestop got me the correct part by the next business day. That was excellent service.LikesEasy storage when not neededNo need to drill on your truckMuch lighter than hard camper shells; install and remove by yourselfDislikesZippers for windows are in awkward locations and difficult to close, though after the top has been on the truck and has stretched to fit the frame it becomes much easier to get them on.Installation instructions could have better illustrationsneeds really warm weather to install in the suggested time frame.Bottom line, if you're looking for a cover for your truck bed, I would definitely give the Supertop a good look.
