This bench is not of the quality that my wife was expecting when she ordered it. It was missing the two small bolts used to attach the side braces. I was able to use the one extra long bolt that came with it as well as a spare one I had in my toolbox to get it all assembled. There is a good amount of flex in the entire bench when an adult sits on it and my wife is afraid that it’s going to break. We purchased this to put in our memorial garden that we are building for my late Mother and we are going to get a sturdier bench for that purpose. We will keep this one as a more ornamental piece and place it near our travel trailer parking space. It does look very nice however. My advice is to pass if you are hoping to have a spot for multiple fully grown adults to sit together.

Don’t purchase! Not easy to assemble. Back bench is plastic. Missing all screws to assemble. When I requested to return the manufacturing company not Amazon offered a partial refund if I didn’t ship it back.

I think this is a decent bench and some of the harsh reviews don’t tell the entire story. First of all the bench is nice looking and easy to assemble. However, it is not made of heavy duty material so it is more appropriate for children or petite adults. I’m not a big guy at about 160lbs and my girlfriend is small as well. The bench is great for us. I have a friend who is a former football player and at 205 lbs he would likely collapse the bench so he sits in our big Adirondack chair:). So this is a good light weight bench but not a heavy duty one.

Pros: Price is okay, sides are cast as described, looks nice when assembled.Cons: wood slats were slightly different lengths and one of them had a chunk out of the end that was finished over so that got through quality somehow, flimsy feeling when sitting down (all hardware is tight and straps are secured to the underside), and most of all the back insert is plastic even though it doesn't say anything about plastic in the description or materials it's made out of.I ordered this as an anniversary gift for my wife and was pretty disappointed when she pulled it out of the box. The wood slats were everywhere and so was the styrofoam packaging that had broken during transport. No big deal, that happens sometimes so we vacuumed all of the pieces off and that's when we noticed the backrest insert was PLASTIC. My thought was to have this bench for many years, put new wood on it as necessary, and reuse the cast iron pieces... I'll be surprised if the plastic lasts more than a year or two. Directions were mediocre (but it's a bench so not a big deal) and assembly did go pretty quickly. Some of the slats were slightly different lengths but the holes were drilled correctly. Overall, it looks pretty if you want something to look at. However, if you are looking for something that will withstand the test of time, look elsewhere. Guess I'll be going to a big box store to purchase her a new bench.

I set this bench outdoors beside a pond with a nice view. The bench has been out in the elements for months now, and shows no effect. It is a 2 seater for 2 moderately slim folks, and a 1 seater for moderately corpulent folks like me. It is very sturdy and doesn't mind having 2 people in it. Assembly was a bit challenging, but eventually came together with all original parts intact and no engineering required. I may order another for another location soon.
