Great homeowner's tool!
I've only used it once; however, if my opinion changes, I'll update my review. The operating instructions weren't too clear. I leave mine in CW (clockwise) mode and use the lever on the front to push the auger forward to retract. It works flawlessly. Before use and afterward, I sprayed the entire coil with WD-40, so I shouldn't have any rust issues. I'm very pleased with it and so glad I got the power-fed auger!

DIDN'T WORK UPON ASSEMBLY
IT'S PRETTY, BUT THE AIR-PRESSURE SWITCH DID NOT WORK PROPERLY. ONCE YOU PUSH IT, IT CONTINUED TO RUN. YOU HAVE TO USE THE SWITCH TO STOP IT. THE CONTROL GEAR WAS REAL LOOSE. AND DID NOT FORWARD/REVERSE AS IT SHOULD SO THE CABLE GOT SUCKED IN ON FORWARD AND WENT TOO FAR INTO THE HOUSING. THE DIRECTION GEAR WAS REALLY REALLY LOOSE.THE CABLE GOT BOUND INSIDE THE UNIT AND NOW I HAVE TO DISASSEMBLE IT TO TRY TO SEE WHAT'S WRONG.I am trying to get customer service, but no luck as of yet. I will edit this comment if they fix this.EDIT: I had to fix it through Amazon... cost me another $200 in shipping.

Great value
Easy to use once you figure out how. It does have power in and out. Works great and a great value so far. I bought it for professional use and it has been great.

Spring cable unwrapped itself
I would give it 5 stars if safety is better and have variable speed control. Follow up on my repair: it took less than 30 mins to pull out all the cable and rewinding it, so the repair wasn't bad, hopefully it won't unwind on my second job.I followed the instruction and check everything, right off the bat it is missing a bolt for the attachments, no big deal I found one in my bolt jar. Everything was working fine until 50 feet in, cable just unwrapped itself and smack me in the leg 4, 5 times, then everything turn south, machine is basically inoperable now and I managed to get the cable back out. I will try to fix the cable tomorrow and see how it goes. Drain is somewhat cleared and I have 1 more job to do after I re-wrap the spring cable. I will update the rating after I finished everything.

comes from Harbor Freight Tools
motor attached to drum by belt---drum turns cable---not direct drive to cable, like Ridgid.....collet cast, so bolt/lever doesn't thread without work by buyer--rotation direction lever on F--machine works but extension of cable and retraction are manual---doesn't retract as well as other machines I've used...machine is Loud...........me

Fine machine. Good value. It WORKS!
Similar quality to the machine used by a professional service at my home three weeks ago. I was happy I had seen the process and done it myself in past with a rented machine. Beginners should view a few YouTube videos and perhaps talk with someone with experience. The motor never labored and the overall operation was quite satisfactory. I would caution to NOT be in a hurry to feed the cable and to pull back and push ahead gently through the whole process. I used the entire 100 foot length as I knew from previous experience the problem was under the street. I plan to run this machine once a year as preventive maintenance. So much better than waiting for a wet basement surprise and mess. Happy to answer any questions. This was a good purchase!

A good, solid piece of equipment.
I need to have a piece of equipment on hand to clear drain blockages on my property. I need a snake atleast 70 feet long, and I only use it once or twice a year, so I didn’t want to spend more than $450. The 75’ x 3/8” is $360! Almost $100 under my budget. The comparable Ridgid model will runs over $500 on Amazon. The key feature of the Mophorn is the open drum for the cable. This allows me to give it a good rinse after use. My Ridgid model, which was stolen, had an enclosed drum, which accumulated dirty water and rust. I received the Mophorn, and ran it once, and was impressed by the solid construction. Only time will tell, but I consider it a good value for a professional duty product. Only drawback: a poorly translated manual. (These things are pretty easy to use, and you can always checkout youtube.)
