Please Check Your PC's Operating System Requirements BEFORE You Buy This Item.
This item arrived intact, undamaged & it is as described by the seller. Zero issues with the item itself. HOWEVER: There is only one problem: My PC is currently running Microsoft Windows 10, which is apparently incompatible with this software (the software (splash screen) launches fine but crashes whenever any of the games are actually started). My VGA monitor screen is also automatically re--sized in an attempt to run the games in their default mode but the images are still too large to "fit," completely on the monitor screen (the left side is completely visible but the right side is cut off, as well as the lower portion of the game screen). I double checked the Microsoft Direct--X drivers on my PC/Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System & the drivers are apparently current on it. I may need to clean install this software on an older PC running Microsoft Windows 7 OS or an earlier version of Windows in order for the software to run properly. The issue here appears to only be one of compatibility with my current Windows OS & nothing more. My best advice here is: Please double check your Microsoft Windows OS REQUIREMENTS for this item PRIOR to purchasing it. Thank you.

The game installation...
caused problems in my Windows 7 system. I had to restart the computer to leave the games. The only game I played is Asteroids. The game brought back good memories while playing.

The game are exactly like the Arcade originals
I originally purchased the Atari 80 Classic Games around 2010 or 2011. I dont really remember but I have loaded into my last 3 desktops and it has worked well. I have used it with Windows XP Home,Windows XP Proffesional, and now with Windows 7 professional. The game are exactly like the Arcade originals. Tempest, Asteroids,Centipede,Asteroids Deluxe,Galaxian etc. Some of the games glitch a little bit, but I am running an old version of Atari 80 Classic Games on Windows 7 Prof. with a super fast, Intel Solid State Drive. The newer 2014 Atari software is probably much better than the version I am running. Overall I recommend this Atari software. *(Check the software specifications first and make sure your computer is up to par, or you will have problems.) M.S.

Yup, There's Spyware Alright
I saw another review that mentioned there was spyware in this game. I thought maybe he was mistaken, because I didn't think Atari would have so little self-respect as to do something like that. At the price of the game, it was a minor risk--I thought.Well... I didn't even install the game. I chose the option to run the game from the disc for the first time. Immediately, Windows Defender popped up with a "medium threat" warning. I would have explored that further, to see what the threat actually was, but my whole system (I'm operating Vista) was acting unstable, a highly atypical state for my computer. I couldn't get alt tab to work and I couldn't get the game to close. I couldn't get to the Defender warning pop-up to click for more information. Task Manager wouldn't come up, either. I finally solved the problem by yanking the cord on my external dvd drive and disconnecting the game. I could finally exit the Atari window after that.I'm disappointed, both because I was looking forward to playing the games and because I had thought better of Atari. I'd like to think this was just a computer glitch and Windows Defender made a mistake, but by the behavior of the game itself, I'm thinking it was no mistake. What a shame.

Well worth the price!
If you grew up in the '70s, like I did, and spent too much time, and too much money in the arcades, then you can't go wrong with this! For less than a Starbuck's cappucino, you get 18 of Atari's CLASSIC arcade games. And when I say ARCADE, I mean the EXACT SAME GAMES you pumped SO MANY quarters into!AsteroidsAsteroids DeluxeBattlezoneBlack WidowCentipedeMillipedeCrystal CastleGravitarLunar LanderMissile CommandMajor HavocLiberatorRed BaronSpace DuelSuper BreakoutTempestWarlordsPongThose games alone are worth the price of admission, to me anyway. And infinitely more fun to waste time with than Solitaire, (talk about LAME!) The other 62+ games look to be mostly ports of old Atari 2600 games, which ARE sort of lame, even by 1980's standards. But I've spent a few hours (re-living my childhood) playing those as well.If you're looking for cutting edge, 3D graphics, state-of-the-art video games, move on. But if you're looking for a cheap fun trip down memory lane, then you can't go wrong here.Don't get me wrong, I love my 3D graphics card, but these games re-kindle that old visceral excitement, and instant gratification that has somehow been lost in today's world of "everything's-gotta-be-3D-or-else-it-sucks" gaming paradigm.Regards,Classic Fanatic

Atari Games
I use to play the old atari when it first came out. It was a load of fun. On the computer game I couldn't get it to work until I discovered you have to buy Codec to play certain games. After I bought the codec it works great. They should tell you that when you purchase. There are many games of fun on this disk. There are lots of different old games on it. Astroids. All kinds for everyone's delight.I would recommend this game to anyone. It is a lot of fun.Eighty games are a lot.Just don't forget the Codec
