Q: Please tell what's the difference between this and 2824? I'd like to build a rig for my Z6ii, but i'm stuck because I don't know which one to buy.

Hi， Thank you for interesting in SmallRig. The main difference is the above part. The 2824 has more threaded holes, which can install more accessories and fit your Z6ii more closely. If you are a professional photographer, 2824 is recommended. Q: will this fit if I have "skin" on my Z7ii? I guess probably not since it adds a little thickness. Thank you

I have this cage on my Z6ii and there is little to no clearance where the cage meets the grip or the front of the camera under the lens. I’d say that it most likely it would not fit with skin unless the skin you’re using is very thin mil vinyl. Overall the cage is well built & fits the camera nicely.

Q: One reviewer noted that it is quite difficult to remove the xqd card with the cage attached. will the cage allow the xqd card be inserted/removed?

It is definitely easier to remove the XQD card without the cage, but it's not "quite difficult" to remove it unless you don't have thumbs. I have man hands and have no issues removing it.

Q: I saw that to install the cage it is necessary to remove the strap for it, after that can it be reinstalled?
