Stampendous Cling Stamp, Special Day, Green

I didn't read the dimensions in the description therefore I can't blame company. I will just have to use stamp differently than I had planned.

Lovely stamp with a wonderful sentiment for birthdays or any special day. I noticed a different reviewer had issues with the “cling”. The stamp does come with both a clear plastic vinyl piece glued to the back of the rubber stamp as well as an acetate piece covering the vinyl. (So the layers from the bottom would be: Rubber stamp, clear vinyl, clear acetate) The acetate piece easily removes from the vinyl and the vinyl then clings to the acrylic block or stamping platform. The vinyl is not meant to be removed from the stamp. I have several stamps that are made this way (vinyl on the back of a rubber stamp) and they work beautifully. If at some point they don’t cling as well as they should, I find cleaning them with windex or a light cleaner helps significantly. On rare occasion, I will add a little bit of stays-tacky glue (such as Aleene’s or E600) and that will also keep the stamp mounted on the acrylic block or stamping platform. I was sorry to hear a fellow crafter had problems using this stamp and hope perhaps I can help the next crafter that comes along to have a more successful experience. Stampendous is a great brand and makes quality products. I’ve been crafting for over 30 years and still have some rubber stamps from when I first started card making all those years ago.

Perfect greeting for inside or outside a wedding card. Arrived quickly and I have already used it three times !

I had same problem as most. I tried to remove clear plastic on the image label side of the stamp and it tears into the foam. I ended up cutting the clear plastic close to the edges and used a repositionable glue on the plastic.It worked to try the stamp in the stamp positioner tool I have. It stamps really well. The image was clean and crisp, so that was nice. Seems I will have to keep reapplying the glue as there was hardly any cling when I pulled it back off. Maybe I'll try a different brand of repositionable glue for the next use.
