This was originally purchased for my daughter as a gift...somewhere to place/keep her engagement ring safe while working in the kitchen...but it's very LARGE...i didn't pay attention to the measurements when purchasing...needless to say I purchased a different brand for my daughter but gifted this trinket dish to my sister-in-law whose first name also starts either a "J".... very nice quality
