The recipient would display the pickle on their desk or similar.The character’s name is “Positive pickle.” The design is evocative of 1930’s cartoons, especially with the oversized eyes.It comes with a lanyard, which is pretty long. Thus, it can be hung off of another object, like a doorknob.The quote on the placard the pickle is holding is a play on a pickle’s role, like being on a sandwich, with the ostensibly pithy parts (“bread and butter” and “dill”) in quotes. It’s not particularly touching or poignant, but recipients may enjoy it nevertheless for the gesture.It felt a little overstuffed, in that it was firmer than it needed to be.
