It has the substance of a sweater shirt, with the right amount of stretch to give it that ideal fit.Due to the knit in the vertical ribbing, the shirt has a small diamond-pattern see-through, which is barely visible. I typically wear black colored tee-shirts, so when wearing that underneath, the see-through is not apparent at all. The shirt is so soft and quality constructed that I intend to wear it for a variety of occasions or functions, including casual, business casual, and even for dress-up.As a button-down, it has seven buttons, with a spare button included, if needed. This brand is top-notch in terms of appearance and value, and it fits like a glove. The XL was true to size based on the dimensions listed in the chart. The weight of the fabric is medium, but it is still light and comfortable enough to be breathable in warmer climates. It looks nice and I intend to wear it as frequently as I can.Recommended.
