Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force - Nintendo DS

This is the only official way left to experience Club Penguin aside from the wii game, and it's amazing. Truly a fun and immersive adventure around Club Penguin, waddling around and meeting new penguins, dressing your character, and playing mini games. You also get to join the Elite Penguin Force and do epic Spy Missions! Fun for all ages.

(parent & child co-review): I bought this for my 3rd grade son who has been doing Club Penguin on line for a year. He loves Club Penguin and also loves his Nintendo DS (indispensable for us parents on long trips). It was a no brainer for the Thanksgiving long plane trip. The game has the exact visual appearance and game play style of Club Penguin's spy missions. My son basically disappeared for hours with this (for better or for worse). He played for a 3 hour stretch on the plane coming home. That's direct evidence that this game has some serious game play value.Ben's review:"I think the game is very fun. When you get used to it, playing is more fun than you'd expect stepping down from the PC to a DS game. It is fun in lots of different ways 1) because you get to solve missions you don't see on the regular on line game. 2) You get to earn badges, get to wear stuff that helps you on your way. 3) You can help people for prizes. The code that comes with the DS game gets you 1500 coins and a spy phone for the on-line world."For those who have never heard of Club Penguin - it's Disney's virtual on-line community for kids where Penguin shaped avatars throw snowballs, make friends, play games (such as unloading fish from trucks - I kid you not), and hang out. There are also longer structured adventures such as spy missions with more involved puzzles and detective work. Lately there's a whole hierarchical game of becoming a Ninja with card based combat (but that's on-line, not in the DS game). The DS game has spy missions that include destroying robots, train special spy puffles (the puff ball pets of the Club Penguin world), and rescue other penguins in need (and harvest the prizes the grateful saved penguins give you). There's a wireless head to head mode, but we haven't tried that yet. All in all - a real winner.

I have a son (8 years old) and daughter (6) who both love Club Penguin. This game for the Nintendo DS has also been a hit with them. The price through amazon.com was the best around at the time, and delivery was prompt. Both kids played with this a lot while traveling over the holidays. They have also added the "skins" to their game units. To be honest, they haven't played with it a lot since returning from holiday traveling and getting back to our regular routine. I'm not certain if it's because there aren't enough new things to do on the game and they are already tired of it, or just enjoying playing with other games for now. For that reason, I give this 4 rather than 5 stars. If they return to the game with as much enjoyment as they (and the cousins they were visiting) seemed to have with it during the initial week or so, then this could earn a 5 star rating.

My son DESPERATELY wanted this game. We looked, looked, and looked. My husband and I were exasperated! We didn't want to get it online and pay the same for the product as we would for shipping, finally as a last resort we tried. Everyone was astronomically priced due to the shortage, then we found it on Amazon.com, 10.00 cheaper than the local stores for the Collectors Edition! We bought it right up. We spent over 25.00 so the shipping was free, BONUS!, and my son absolutely loves the game. Because it is the collectors edition he also got a skin for his DS, a super stylus, 2500 coins for the online game, and the actual game for his DS. It is the only game he has wanted to play since Christmas Morning, I recomend this to anyone with a child interested in the online Club Penguin game, it is paid for ONCE, no more subscription fees!The only downfall I have with this purchase is that not even an hour after I received the confirmation that the item shipped Amazon.com sent me another email offering the same product for 9.99! 20.00 LESS than I paid! Very upsetting.

It’s a really fun game and it’s more fun than I thought it would be, the mini games are really enjoyable

Daughter loves this so much. She is a huge club penguin fan and lit up when she opened this xmas morning. She loves playing it and it is challenging but not too hard for her. (age 9) The "skin" it comes with is very nice and easy to stick on, and it comes with a stylus pen, with a fancy topper on it. It is also comes with a card to redeem online (when you have signed up for club penguin) for 2500 coins to use online.I got this for a great before xmas deal....I never would have payed the regular price for it ($60) but thats just because I can't see paying that much for anything really...I got it for an amzing price from amazon during one of their video game deals sales.Love it and LOVE amazon.

I bought this for my seven year old for Christmas. He had just recently gotten into Club Penguin. This bundle was a great value for the money and include several accessories. He love the stylus, which you cant' even find in stores! The game is a little challenging, but I am sure that he will learn over time.

Came with everything and works great! 5/5 stars only thing bad was it came with a small indent on the front

Bought as a present for my daughter for a good school report however I have yet to see her since giving her this game as she's club penguin mad. Very good game apparently she has told me my only critique is I should of bought the DSi version as it doesn't work on the DSi only a DS but that was my fault so not too worry but as she has both flavours of DS its not an issue anyway. Product arrived well packaged & in a timely manner thank you very much.
