Korn is a American band from Bakersfield, California, that formed in 1993. The band's current lineup includes founding members Jonathan Davis (lead vocals, bagpipes), James "Munky" Shaffer (rhythm guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass), as well as Ray Luzier (drums), who joined the band in 2007. Korn has released thirteen studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, one greatest hits album, six video albums, thirty-nine music videos, one EP, and twelve singles. The band has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide, with twelve of their albums receiving gold certification or higher by the RIAA. Their self-titled debut album was released in October 1994 and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in December 1994 and has sold more than 2.5 million copies in the United States. Follow-up Life Is Peachy (1996) entered the Billboard 200 at number one and was certified triple-platinum by the RIAA in January 1997. It is the band's only album to date to receive this certification. The band's next three albums all peaked within the top ten of the Billboard 200: Issues (1999) at number one for two weeks, Untouchables (2002) at number three for one week, and Take a Look in the Mirror (2003) at number six. All three albums were certified double-platinum by the RIAA. See You on the Other Side (2005) was certified platinum in January 2006. The latest album from Korn, The Serenity of Suffering, was released on October 21, 2016.
