Battery isn’t great
I bought this for my partner, he loves it but tells me he’ll have to look into putting a new battery as the one it comes with runs down fast.

For the price? Amazing!
I'm not in the habit of leaving reviews, but I felt I had to...If you are a bloke of a certain age (35 plus) then you probably dreamed of a Tamiya RC car as a boy. I did. My older brother had the Tamiya Hornet. It went like poo off a shovel and was the most fun you could have as a teenage boy without using a copy of Razzle magazine...When I got into my thirties, I had enough spare disposable income (and at that point no kids) to go and buy it (the Tamiya Hornet) About £250 later I spent two days building it and then one of the gears popped off on the second go. It sat in my office on the shelf for years. Then a month or so ago my young son got an RC Car (£10 from Argos) and I harked back to my teenage years... After a day or so trawling the web I found the FTX comet. The reviews were good, I didn't have to put it together and it looked like fun. The fact that it was less than £70 was nice too...After farting about with it for the last fortnight I'm grinning like an idiot. Its on a par with Tamiya models of my youth, and in fairness maybe even better... Less than a third of the price too.Its fast, its tough and its bloody good fun. Having looked on eBay and Amazon it appears you can buy pretty much every part for this car... it also appears to massively updgradeable too, bigger motors, batteries, aluminium parts etc etc...Its tough as old boots too. I've been driving like a proper tw*t and she still keeps going!!!Even if it breaks I'll just buy the broken bit and replace it!I haven't had this much fun in ages. But don't let the kids touch it. Its not a toy. Its a model. Its also Daddy's. So bog off.

Great Fun
This is a great little RC car. I am not going to leave any technical info as I’m not clued up on RC cars. What I can say is it’s brilliant fun, quick, responsive & pretty robust. Looks good too. It’s says 14+ on the box but I bought it for my 7 year old and he handles it ok as long as in a big space.. it’s really quick across tarmac and handles off road & bumps/ jumps well. I can see this getting us more interested in RC cars. In short if you looking for an entry level buggy you won’t go wrong with this.
