I have struggled with getting my leg fully straight in PT and at home post knee replacement. Most of the exercises given REALLY hurt so I dreaded doing them. I often ended up feeling worse after aggressive PT. Enter Ideal Knee. It’s easy to use, you can feel the stretch but no pain! I’ve made more progress in two weeks than I had in 2 months! Yes, it’s a little pricey but so worth it. Even my walking gait has improved. Give it a go!

This was recommended by my physicial therapist. I used one in the clinic and liked it well enough to buy one for home use. It aids in knee extension and is comfortable to use. I ordered the optional strap and am glad I did.

So I had a total knee replacement near 11 weeks ago now and was having trouble getting my knee to full extension. After finding this on a you tube video, I decided to order it. After a week and a half of using this piece of equipment, I am at full extension. I use it 4x per day...each time I put my knee into extension for 1 full min 4x in a row. Short rest breaks in between. But use it to your knee tolerance....only you will know the time frame for that. Sometimes I have even done it 5 x in a day. I see other reviews say it is too expensive....but for me, I would have paid $200. I am so very grateful that such a device is on the market to help us achieve our goals of full extension after such major surgery. I showed it to my physical therapist yesterday and she too was impressed with it. Told me to continue to use it. Maybe I will be able to get a degree or 2 of hyper extension. :)

Worked really well to give me great knee extension after total knee replacement. Would recommend.

I will say that this is great for extension exercises but it is severely over priced. Pulling a $106 item out of the box and seeing that it is made of next to nothing and in no way worth the money. It’s a great piece of equipment to exercise with but be prepared to be disappointed when you put it together and sit there and ask yourself where is the $106 value.

Just got this and have only used it twice. I was a little disappointed at first thinking it was going to be flimsy or snap and be a waste of money as I was putting it together. It’s deceptively simple yet very effective and sturdy. It will surely help me get full extension. I’m only a few degrees away and have been stuck here for years. One thing I will say is that this may not work on thicker legs at the very end of the extension. In order to reach full extension, my leg had to fit between the poles. I can see this being an issue when trying to get the final few degrees if you have wider legs. A solution could be to put a very thick pad on the strap so your leg doesn’t have to go between the poles. It would be a very solution. Wish I had this years ago when I was recovering. It would have helped tremendously but the time is now and feel like it will work well to get the last few degrees I’ve been missing.

Recommended by my orthopedic surgeon after knee replacement. Well worth it! Allows me to stretch daily and multiple times a day, even at work. I recommend getting the extra pad for the strap that sits above the knee. Keep up with the PT to get back to where you were. The Ideal Knee will be your best friend!

Doc said use it to promote full extension to the knee so you're not slightly bent when you think you're straight (usually during heavier swelling pos op). Kept using it, so good I did it to both legs (the old replacement on the other knee responded too).
