What you need if you have to connect aluminum wiring to copper. Seriously expensive compared to standard wire nuts but safety comes at a cost.😳😳

These are very good quality and useful ! I use them with anti-oxidant joint compound and it has paid for itself ! Great value for the money !

These are the same as what you get at the big box stores, only cheaper. Used to connect aluminum and copper wiring. These are special because they are filled with ox-guard or other brand name of black nasty material that helps contain the wire connections and reduce chance of fire. Copper and aluminum wiring expands and contracts at different rates and arching can occur leading to fires. These are rated to prevent this from happening.

Used these to pigtail aluminum wires in my house into copper rated outlets. They were very straightforward to use - make sure to use antioxidant paste (sold separately) when you do use them. Extensive research shows these are the second safest option compared to the alumiconn - while UL rated some research shows they may fail more often than a well installed alumiconn. But - they are hopefully safer than aluminum wires in copper outlets (had at least 2 outlets fail in the house I bought - in sometimes dramatic fashion)

They are larger than normal wire nuts, which can make it extremely tight and at times impossible to install in the existing boxes in older homes, which in many cases the boxes in the homes that aluminum wire was used, the boxes are very small and larger boxes or extension boxes have to be used. But the product itself is very good.

We needed these for a renovation and couldn't find them at three local hardware stores, turned to Amazon and had them in a couple days. Completed our project perfectly.

Its important that you get this style when connecting Aluminum to copper connections. Please note this particular set holds very few wires. Especially since Aluminum tends to be larger wire. If you need alternate sizes your local electrical supply store will have them if Amazon doesn't.
