Cute and what I expected
These make cute cookies but they do take a little practice, and you need to pick a recipe and stick with it until you get it exactly as you like. I would say if you want painless/super easy or intend to make a softer dough, go with a mooncake mold.Soft dough smears in these. You have to chill the full amount of time, work fast, and put it back in the fridge at the slightest hint of smearing. Use more flour instead of less, and flour the cutter and silicone stamp if it sticks even a little.I made Veena Azmanov's Melt in the Mouth Shortbread, rolled to 6mm thick. I first pushed the cutter into the dough, then put the stamper into the frame and pushed down for that cute ring around the edge. Worked great, though you do have to play with the cooking time to get the impression to stay sharp. These are going to be a great addition to my cookie tray this year, though I'm still going to keep using my mooncake molds for the finickier doughs.

Good product
I tried the cookie press today. You must keep the cookie dough cold to get a good design stamp. After I got the hang of it the stamp did a very good job. The cookies turned out real well using the Brown butter recipe from King Arthur flour. I will try it with other recipes. I would love it, if the center of the press handle had a plunger to push out the cut cookie. Also more designs choices would be great. these were all geometrics. A good product and much less expensive than some stamps with only one design for 12-20 dollars.
