I have had this product for about 2 months so far so good. I use it on my PlayStation 4 so i can have both my surround sound and my Astro Mix Amp connected at the same time. My only complaint is I wish the sound would come from both my surround and mix-amp simultaneously. Cant remove a star for that though because I haven't found an adapter that lets me do that anyway. Cant beat this item at this price.

Did not work with TiVo because tiVo never turns off the audio signal even in standby mode.

One of my devices worked on this splitter, but the other one would not, therefore rendering the device useless to me.

A Toslink splitter (and combiner?). I use it to split out a digital audio feed (from a $2000 LG TV without a headphone jack) to send to a Wiistar Optical Decoder for my headphones while also simultaneously connecting a Toslink feed to my Receiver. Lets me mute my speakers (with a remote control) for night-time listening and still enjoy the headphones. Works like a charm! I have not tried it as a combiner.

I bought this item so that I connect the digital audio from my DirecTV and AppleTV into my receiver, which only has one digital audio input. Well, it doesn't work. The light source from the device's digital audio port is always on. This causes the receiver to not play any audio when the two devices are connected at the same time. Even though only one devices is powered on at a time. If only one device is connected it works fine. Simply put if you want to hook up two audio devices into one digital audio port you will need a switch. No grips on this product other than it didn't do what I'd hope it would. More of an issue with my thought process. The only reason why I didn't give the product 5 stars is the difficulty I have with connecting and disconnecting the digital audio cables into it. It feels as if I'm going to break the thing while doing so.
