Microplane excels. as usual!
We've loved microplane tools for pottery and for wood, and their kitchen implements have been phenomenal. As soon as I saw the name I knew I had found the tool; I was right, ergonomic design and a superb cut with no wrist/hand pressure needed at all!Even the packaging is well thought out, but unfortunately not explained. The plastic sleeve that fits over the blade is just thick enough to offer protection, not so big that it takes up space, and is held in place (as is the blade it is on) by THE HANDLE.One reviewer spoke of an almost electrostatic bonding, or vacuum pressure, and having to cut away the sleeve before being able to inspect the tool, open the handle.... It is true to some extent that the plastic adheres (a solution follows), but you have to first open the handle and remove the blade before removing the blade sleeve. We dusted the inside of the sleeve lightly with corn starch and it now slips on and off with ease, when the blade is not attached to the handle.Microplane has done it again! I suspect it might even be the answer to getting decent slashes in proofed bread loaves without losing the rise; ahh, that would be lovely.

Works great
Overall, great pizza-cutter. The one flaw is that it doesn't come with an easily removable/reusable blade cover. The cover is difficult to get off the first time (a thin rubber/plastic that sticks to the blade). The cover extends over the blade and slightly under the handle, making it difficult to put on and take off again. a heavier plastic cover would have worked better. We have to store it carefully to avoid exposing the blade to hands and fingers. Not recommended if you have kids and no patience.

Great cutter
I just love this product. It works fantastically and is a breeze to clean. My wooden handle cutter finally bit the dust and this cutter is easier to use. I don't miss the other a bit. It has a locking device on it that is easy to open to clean. It is very handy and saves me a lot of time. I use it to cut up the kids' french toast, pancakes and quesadillas. It works much easier and better than a knife. A definite must for a kitchen and busy cook.

Perfect for my son!
I've been looking for a safe-to-use knife solution for my disabled son and this is the perfect fit! The handle protects his hand but is easy to grip and can be used at any angle. It rolls smoothly, cuts well, is easy to clean and has a protective cover so the edge doesn't get nicked in the gadget drawer. I find myself reaching for it often for cutting and chopping too!

Probably will buy something else next time
Worked ok. Had to roll over pizza a few times to slice through the crust. Bought it because we love our other microplane products which have held up well. However, this pizza cutter seems very cheaply constructed with a plastic wheel, plastic bearings, and a thin plastic strip holding everything in place. I doubt it will last for very long.

a double roller.
works well, is comfortable to use. blade comes out for washing, blade is not as sharp as I would want, most often, it needs a double slice to cut section. Good slicer, I will sharpen cutting wheel. Well made.

Great pizza cutter
This is a replacement for one that I had for years. The first one, after much use, broke at the plastic piece. I was happy to find that they are still in production and have bought a new one.

Quality Blade/ Cheap Plastic Mechanism
The blade on the microplane cutter is sharp and made of heavy metal, however, the plastic bolt that holds the blade in place broke after two years of use. The design allows you to remove the blade for cleaning but the hinge and bolt are made of cheap plastic. Don't buy if you want a pizza cutter that lasts for years of use. Back to using my chefs knife.
