Light weight support and comfort. A bit large.
Easy break-in, 2 days. I usually use a Dr Scholl's work boot insert but I haven't needed them. Good arch support. Light weight. Comfortable. Much lighter than Red Wings but seemingly slimmer material. They're a bit long and have a bit larger than average width. I'd suggest going down a half size. I got them on sale for $125 and, after a week of wear, I think they're well worth it.*UPDATED*After 8 months of roughly every-other-day wear, the lining inside above the toes is torn away. It was bunching up inside the right boot and I had to tear part of it out so it would stop being annoying. The lining above the toes inside the left boot is gone. The toes scuffed fairly easily. I rinsed them off recently and part of the right boot soaked straight through the leather leading me to think they are thinner material than Redwing's. On both boots, some parts of the Vibram soles are worn flat and there are a couple of cracks; I'm in SoCal so no real weather on them. I'd be disappointed but they were half the price of comparable Redwing's and more durable than my Eastland's.

Good, Not Great!
These are rather good boots, but don't expect red wing quality. These seem very comfortable out of the box, but in the long run just aren't as comfortable as red wings. The texon fiberboard insoles just don't hold up like the leather insoles in red wings. Also, the leather is much thinner and will without a doubt, crease much more than red wings after much wear. The Vibram sole seems to be on par with the red wing branded solesHonestly, I'd recommend these if you can get them on deep holiday discount, but not at retail.

Love the look of these
Love the look of these, took a while to break in, not as comfortable as my other cheaper Chippewa's or my Redwings but they are comfortable enough. For the price they should feel like my Redwings IMO. If I had to do it over again I would go with the comparable Redwings rather than these. Also the leather on the left boot is a bit wrinkly right out of the box but not enough to deal with returning them but noticeable nonetheless . I have a cheaper pair of Chippewas that I love and would highly recommend especially for the price but These are just so so. Will most likely be the last pair of Chippewas that I buy.

Good looking, sturdy boots
These boots took a few days to start to break in: the stiff leather was not the most comfortable for the first few wears. Once I applied some leather conditioner and the leather started to soften up they are super comfortable and sturdy. The vibram sole is sturdy and supportive but has some nice cushion against concrete floors. The leather is beautiful, the stitching is high quality, all around a beautiful boot. I'm still skeptical about a 260 dollar price tag but hopefully it will pay off over the next year or two. Also when compared to Redwing, the resoling is a good deal cheaper through Chippewa which is a nice plus.

Great buy on good boots.
Great Amazon price on these otherwise over-priced boots. Very comfortable out of the box & will improve with break in. Cushioned wedge outsole makes them feel like walking in sneakers. Beware that Chippewas usually run large, especially in length. I'm normally an 11 D or 10.5 E in boots but in Chippewa products I'm usually a 10.5 D. That's what I purchased and they fit very well. Thanks Amazon!

The good and the bad.
Start off positive... I love the look of the boot and couldn't wait to break them in. They are comfortable and seem much more durable than expected. The negative...after already wearing them for a or two I noticed some minor defects that are not a huge problem now but since these will be my everyday shoe I'm hoping the defects don't cause early failure. The defect that stood out to me the most was that one of the toe-boxes is off center, minimally, with the sole.

Love 'em
These are excelent boots. The break in period was minimal and they aren't too heavy. It was a big purchase for me and I'm 100% satisfied with them so far. I typically wear an 11.5 in most shoes and sneakers so I opted for a size 11. I maybe could have been comfortable in a 10.5 but thick socks likely wouldn't pair well. Overall, definitely order at a minimum a half size down from your normal size, but a full size down miiiight be to snug with really thick socks.

Superb Boots! - but take note of sizing.
Sceptical about buying another brand to my usual Redwing. But being virtually half the price & needing a rough pair for work, I decided to give em a try...The delivery arrived exceptionally fast. The are Great! well made & this style has a similar resemblance to a Redwing round toe.I spent a large amount of time looking through other reviews for mention of sizing comparisons between Chippewa & Redwing before buying these. As I know these USA made logger/work boots usually run a lot larger than most regular boots. If I could do it again & give my honest opinion about these boots.I would say go by your Redwing sizing when buying Chippewa's of this round toe boot or the homestead capped/iron ranger lookalike, both of which I have tried & tested.I returned these boots for a refund as my size was no longer available but I would add that the company ShoeDeal in Berlin from which I have bought both pairs, Had a commendable return policy. This was greatly appreciated in my dilemma with sizing issues.
