I had made a previous review of this book with a low rating. The reason for my low rating was not the book itself, it turned out to be a technical issue that prevented me from seeing the content of the book. Customer Service took care of this problem once I got around to contacting them and I have now read through at least most of the book.This is a very informative book if you are considering getting a greenhouse. I had just set one up and had found a lot of great information about setting up your greenhouse. Fortunately I had done most things correctly. This book covers everything you will need to get started and more. Being new to having a greenhouse I still think that people who have had them for a while would still find useful tips in this book. It covers all of the basics and will more than prepare you to get started.

Has a lot of good info on basic greenhouse and growing, but most of the info I already knew from doing research online. I recommend  The Year-Round Solar Greenhouse: How to Design and Build a Net-Zero Energy Greenhouse  for anyone that wants to put more into it than just basic knowledge.

Lacks essential facts about how to make use of a greenhouse to extend the season. Vague references to 'colder' climates,,, duh, colder than what? Full of simple ideas that even beginners already know. Seriously lacks step by step suggestions for when to seed, when to transplant different plants outdoors. It does not educate you beyond information that you can google in a few minutes. Two stars because it is easy to read, (mostly) accurate facts and his ideas are presented clearly, but I found needed essential material to be missing from the book. I am left disappointed, looking for answers to my first year growing tips for green house planning.

As I am one who has never had any experience with greenhouse gardening this is a good book for me to be a newbie with. He explains things very simply and clearly. I'm looking forward to having fruits and veggies within the year.

This book includes literally everything that you could possibly want to start/run a green house!!! I would definitely recommend. The author is amazing at telling you what to do through a book!

A good basic book for any body starting greenhouse gardening. Was an easy read. I Wil Will refer back to specific sections as I encounter difficulties in the future.

This is a good beginner book, with lots of nice pictures. It seems to focus more on larger green houses rather than smaller ones for back yards. It has several good ideas in it.

It is very basic. And I really am a beginner. I wish it were a bit more detailed and included more on actual growing...

Disappointed as I wanted to know more about what and how I could grow in the greenhouse - I think I actually grow more already before getting this book, I grow sweetcorn and peas along with the usual tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce etc. so didn't learn anything new. It was more about buying and setting up rather than growing in an established house and to keep costs down it's in black and white.

COme across this book when looking for greenhouse information, firstly have to say for a beginner this book is perfect , it's very easy to read, and understand, it's a little gem of helpful and informative information more so for gardener and greenhouse beginners , it give possible problems ,solution, and helpful tips and advice , not in the"this is how it should be done sense" but this is how I prefer to do it , and offers various ways to be done , it give all sorts of growing tips and plant maintenance advice,soil and compost advice , I think k it's brilliant , more so if your like me and a beginner I. Greenhouse and gardening , im all excited to get started now my polycarbonate greenhouse has been put up , and fully intend to use this little.gem of a book as a go to.book for now.and.future reference thanks Jason. Can't wait to.seek out other books by you

Detail, hands on useful and value for money....really pleased

In anticipation of the arrival of my first greenhouse I downloaded this book. People often judge quality on the basis of price and if they did, in this case, it would be a big mistake. Unlike many of the much more expensive gardening books by big name authors, this book goes through all aspects of green house gardening in a concise, easily understood but detailed manner without the padding. I now have a clear path to follow when the greenhouse arrives.

I bought the book as a reference as I have recently purchased a greenhouse. I've only just started the process, but so far the book has been a great help. A very useful tool for the greenhouse.
