Right off the bat, I have to say that this little espresso maker serves up a delicious single shot of espresso. To be honest, I was very surprised at how good the first shot I pulled from it was. I immediately pulled another to verify that the first one wasn't a fluke and I got the same result-a slightly sweet and bitterless shot of espresso. I'm one who will order two straight-up shots of espresso at the nearby coffee joint because I just love the taste of good espresso (and good coffee in general). So when I pulled those first couple shots, out of this admittedly simple device, I wasn't expecting the kind of quality I'm used to. Very cool! It's easy enough to rinse the bowl and make another shot right away.I like modern coffee gadgets and so was excited to try out this device even though I am a regular user of an Aeropress which is very similar in size and convenience. I'll definitely be adding this maker to my compendium of coffee extractors.Method: boiling water (electric kettles make short work of boiling water) + freshly ground premium coffee (if you're not freshly grinding coffee don't expect good tasting coffee from any method) + 3/4 full water chamber + tightly packed coffee bowl + 45-50 pumps of the device. I was able to grip the device and rest my hand on the lip of the double-shot sized mug while pumping in order to keep the device above the coffee. I stopped pumping when I could see the coffee start to look more clear and the coffee looked like a full single shot. About 1/4 of the water remained and it seemed that the device isn't intended to completely empty the water chamber.Results: A surprisingly delicious elixer! For greatest satisfaction, immediately slam shot into mouth and swish that liquid gold.

I use the Klein Portable Espresso Maker both at work and at home. I imagine it's great while camping as well.I love this little guy since I don't have an espresso machine at home. I like being able to make just a single espresso and have it all cleaned up in five minutes. Just this morning I made both my wife and I an espresso with this. Saved myself ten bucks probably since I didn't order at a coffee shop!It's worth experimenting with to get just the right pour. I tried packing the grounds and leaving them loose. I tried pumping directly into a cup and while the cup is attached. I think loose grounds are better and I think slower, more deliberate pumps are better. The pressure will continue a little bit after each pump, so pouring directly into a cup works just fine.I am greatly pleased. This will be my new go to gift idea (most of my friends and family are coffee drinkers).I am no longer subject to work coffee sludge! Freedom! 'Oh you're having a cup of work coffee? Well, while you're forcing that down your gullet, I'll be enjoying a delightfully smooth espresso that I made just now.'

Living in the land of Micro-Breweries and Coffee shops on every street corner, it was only a matter of time before I would become hooked on Coffee / Espresso. One of my friends (who knows way more about Espresso then I do) directed me to the Klein Portable Espresso Maker. It's great to start the morning off wide-awake and not have to wait in lines for those Coffee Shops. Easy to use and clean it fits right in with my morning routine. My friends and Family were amazed when I was able to make them fresh Espresso at the lake and the hunting camp. Small enough to fit almost anywhere the Klein Portable Espresso Maker is definitely a must of Espresso lovers.

Wow, this is such a great idea and product. It works wonderfully and it's just the right size and lightweight to take anywhere. I have been testing it out for a while and it seems to be working just like it's supposed too. I can't wait to take it on the road since I will be traveling quite often and love the thought of making my own espresso just the way I want it.

Easy to use and creates a great cup of espresso on the go. I have been looking for something like this for years. Being an espresso connoisseur I could never find a good cup of espresso and now it is as close as hot water. Love it
