Great product.
I got this for my three year old. It's an absolutely fabulous product. Not perfect, but superior. It's basically Velcro board where your little guy or girl tosses little bags. Simple, but fine and great to build fine motor skills if your kid can stick with it for more than a few minted! The unit is sturdy and was easy to put together. It is also pleasing looking and not too big or small, so goes good almost everywhere. It also can be easily moved around given its sir.

Perfect for young children!
I ordered this as a birthday gift for my friend's twin boys. The toy comes in a clear bag, so I was able to view the item before wrapping it. It is the perfect size for toddlers and preschoolers. The boys were so excited when they opened it that they set it up immediately and started playing. Even though it is not sized for school age children, their eight year old sister was able to play with them with no problem. The materials are sturdy and the Velcro sticks very well to the turtle. I would definitely suggest this toy to others and am considering purchasing one for my kids too!

Can a toy be *too* durable?
I really want to give this more stars but, in my opinion, there is a pretty serious design flaw with it.First off, it's a little smaller than you might expect, but that's easy to deal with. The legs support it well and it can take a hit and not fall over. The bean bags are well stitched also and look like they could take a couple years of abuse easily. The problem is the super human strength you need to get the bean bags off the turtle. My three year old isn't strong enough to do it yet and I feel like I'm trying to tear a dish cloth in half when I do it. These bean bags could hold a door on a car. I honestly didn't know velcro could be so strong. As a result I tend to avoid this toy when I'm looking for something to do with my daughter just because her interaction with it it limited and I feel like I'm going to break it.

Super cute but super tiny!
This was a very cute backyard game but my 4 year old who is not very tall struggled to play with it because it was so short and so small. The concept is great. Kids get bean bags that they toss onto a numbered board and when they hit the number on the board they score that point. Here are the problems. The game itself is recommend for ages 3 and older. The game itself if super cute looking. The actually legs the games stand on are not the best quality. A little bit cheap for what I usually expect from Melissa and Doug. The bean bags themselves are well made. The biggest issue here is the size. The play are is very small and the game itself is super short. There is not way a child 3 years or older could possibly comfortably play with this game and I think any child really younger may have a problem actually tossing well enough to hit the board. Overall cute product but not a functional one. I would not buy this again and if I had not put it together and had by son try it, I would have returned it.

Good learning toy.
My 3 year old nephew is at that age of curiosity and discovery. One such experiment is to see how many birds he can hit with a rock. (Luckily, no birds have been harmed so far.) Now that he has this "target" a few rules have been put in place. This is the ONLY object that he is allowed to throw at and he gets a penny equal to the number he hits. If he throws at anything else, he gets it taken from him along with all the pennies he had earned. Working very well so far. Easy to assemble and very durable.

I like it because it is portable
I see some reviews are negative, but I totally disagree. It is small, but it's a game for toddlers. I like it because it is portable. Great for indoor or outdoor. And it is absolutely adorable. Very happy with this toy. Some complained about the quality, I don't see this either. Melissa and Doug have always produced durable, quality toys. I have some I bought for my oldest child over 10 years ago that my youngest still plays with.

Turtle Target Loved By 2 Year Old
Purchased for 2 year old grandson. Was more flimsy than expected, however was not a problem. Children and adults at birthday party had fun with it. I think it will last and hold up.

Great for many ages!
This is really cute and my kids like it. It's a little wobbly but that doesn't seem to ruin the game or interrupt play. My 2 year old loves to practice tossing, but isn't huge on the concept of taking turns and actually "playing the game." My 4 year old twins love it and will take turns and understand the actual game play. I'd say it's a great game for many ages as it offers fun with or without scoring. It helps that it's a super cute turtle. Only downside is that the bags are pretty small and of course, because they are Velcro, they get things stuck to them. Unavoidable, but still a little annoying. All in all, a great buy!!

Cheap and small
Not what I’ve come to expect from Melissa and Doug toys. Cheaply made, could have got something like this from Walmart or dollarama for a quarter of the cost.
