AMH LCD Display & Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly Replacement for Apple iPhone 5S (Black)

As with any part, you have to be aware of what you are buying. This is certainly not an OEM / Apple part, but with the right tools and knowledge, it is a reliable replacement part. I have 65 iPhone 4 /5 / 5s / 6 / 6+ phones in my fleet and they regularly encounter issues - run-ins with the ground, rocks, driven over, etc. It is almost enviable that a screen replacement will be necessary in the lifespan of a phone, even with a hefty case protecting it. I have purchased quite a few replacement iPhone screens - these screens in particular, I have not experienced any issues with. They have been reliable screens that have allowed me to coax a bit more out of a phone with an ever-dwindling lifespan. Keep in mind that the glass in any replacement screen is usually not of the same durability of the original screen that it is replacing and it will warrant additional care so that it does not meet the same fate. It is a must to remember that replacing a screen is a delicate process that requires ample knowledge of the device, if not handled or installed properly, a replacement screen can easily be damaged.

Overall satisfied! Although not completely. I order the screen, delivered we'll packaged!, installed screen no problems or issues, once completed the LCD had smudges on it as if someone had chafed the glass on it before this is my only complaint, until yesterday it has been two weeks since the install and the smudges are still there but tolerable, I just really need my phone for work, but the glass is slowly pulling away from the LCD, it's as if the screen is popping out but the frame is secure inside the phone and it's just the glass that's pulling out. Not sure who does quality control with the reviews but I would really like to have this screen and LCD swapped out if possible. But knowing from of some of the sellers of the past only the good ones will do such a thing to keep a customer happy, so if there's someone I could email or call that would be great. And like I said other wise this was a great replacement shipping to installation, I just believe it was an honest mistake of sending the wrong screen or the glass LCD clue didn't hold up. Screen works fine, fits fine, no problems. Does come with tools. I didn't use them, this review is commenting on the screen only. Does not include the big metal shield, which will unscrew from your old screen anyway, and that means you don't have to peel the ground sticker for all the sensors, and risk tearing that ribbon cable. I had to transfer a tiny clear plastic part with a metal partial perimeter, that wasn't covered in the 11 minute online video I watched, but if you examine the new and old screens carefully you just need to transfer anything different from the old to the new. The screen looks and works just fine. I don't have any color or dead pixel problems.

Hands down one of the highest quality replacement screens I have ever seen for an iPhone. The tools were good quality (magnetized screwdrivers!) and it was packaged very well. I do a lot of these screens and it was obvious this was NOT the cheapest one could make. I had ordered this by accident (I needed white) so I had tried another white one first from another vendor which did not work... I decided to put the black screen on a white phone in a pinch and was really impressed. I don't write reviews on stuff like this but I had to for this one.

Omg, I got white lines and my screen messed up when I installed it. Then I checked the three cable connections and two of them weren't clicked in all the way. It took me a while but I finally got them all secured and the screen worked perfectly. For all those who have that line issue, I would think it might be user error. Those cables are very hard to click in just right.Screen and digitizer work just fine.

Replaced my iPhone screen using this screen and although it does feel like it will crack easy, I was extra careful and was able to successfully install this and been working great so far.

This screen is poor quality, maybe I expected too much. This is not my first go at screen replacing as I have done the same for the 4s, I paid more money on the last one (I was hoping for similar quality just lower cost since there wasn't additional packaging cost). I was replacing the screen and the glass came apart from the heat shield and would never stay in place, on top of that as soon as I tried to put the screen in place it cracked across the camera lens. Returning it as we speak.

Packaged with all the necessary tools. It was received promptly. Although, a quality component I took off 1 star for the LCD hue showing cooler (slightly blue) compared to the original.
