Best Boots. Don’t hesitate. Just buy them and you will love them like I have for over a decade.
My daughter introduced me to these boots over 10 years ago. They are 100% leather and so soft and comfortable. Everywhere I go I get compliments when I wear them. If you take care of them they will last. Even as they age, the leather gives them the perfect look. I am so pleased that Steve Madden has continued this style just as they are and have done. I love the leather instead of the PU like other boots have changed to. This style is known as their signature boot. I am broken-hearted I did not get the gray and the maroon pair before they sold out in size 10. I hope they restock these soon before next fall. I also wish they would bring back the navy color and maybe even a lighter brown one too. They will sell well, especially the navy ones, which are very hard to find in any other brand. Many of their boots have large bulky soles and heels, which I do not like. This boot is more stylish and versatile since you can dress them up or down depending on what you are wearing. I also wish the shoestrings were just a little bit longer, but I work around that. I just don’t lace them to the top holes and I tie them lower and you can’t even tell. Some people actually leave more holes this way and bend down the inside for a different look. I have had boots that the shoestrings easily broke. These do not do that. They also are very supportive for your ankles and that is a plus. I just love them and I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed and they will become your favorite boots too.

Fits true to size
You never know how something is going to fit when you buy online. That's what I like about Amazon reviews. I trust them for the most part, and I can add my two cents now that I have these in brown and black. I am one of those who falls in between sizes sometimes. I'm an 8.5. I'm a 9. Sometimes even a 9.5 in sneakers. I would describe my true size as 8.75, which sadly is not made. I read the reviews and decided to order an 8.5. They fit just right. A teensy snug, but I do believe they are going to conform just right to my feet. My advice for the 8.5/9 people, if you plan to wear heavier socks, size up. If not, then order your normal size. That's my two cents. They are real leather, and smell like real leather, so I plan to use a leather protector before exposing them to the winter elements. I like how the feel. I like how they smell. I am pretty darn happy with my purchase. Arrived early. Packaged in the Steve Madden box all nice and neat with tissue paper.A side note: I read on Pinterest that you can hurry up the break in process by putting your hair dryer on high and pointing it inside the boot for a minute. Then, while wearing a thick pair of socks, quickly put your foot in the boot and walk around for awhile. Do both boots obviously. It works!

Nice Boot
Own a black pair and wanted a brown pair. Dark brown color is nice, even tone. True to size. Leather upper and are durable. Sole is rubber. Slim fit but will stretch over time. Really warm with thicker socks. Love the style, laced all the way up or halfway. Many compliments.

Middling Quality (7wide)
I really like Steve Madden's products. I bought these boots to replace a pair of similar boots from Target that are made of Vinyl and giving up the ghost.Off the bat I'll list the cons:This is the second pair I ordered. I originally got a 7 U.S., because that's what I wear, but they were very tight and the leather was tearing up at the seams straight from the box. I have a wide foot, high arch, and fat calves, so boots are a hard find for me, but the leather falling apart at the seems brand new has no excuse. Those were an immediate return. This pair isn't suffering that same problem, but the leather is still a bit chewed up around the laces. Also, the shoe laces feel awful, get rid of them, I'm replacing mine as soon as I'm sure these will work. What I LIKE:I ordered a 7 wide this time because, as I said, I have a wide foot and a high arch and usually if a company doesn't do wide i have to size up to a 7.5 U.S. The 7 wide fits well and only very slightly hits the top of my arch. I can see the leather move outward with the sides of my feet so im happy with the little bit of give (i wish a wide shoe ALSO meant a wider sole). I'm very sick right now so I have time to sit with them on my feet and see how they feel after a few hours.Unlike my disintegrating vinyl boots from Target, the tongue of these boots is sewn into the side of the boot and folds inward so that the tongue doesn't slide around in the boot as you wear them. I'm including a picture of my old boots where you can see that I held the tongue in place with a paper clip. Very classy. For $80 it's not a bad price for a leather boot. Comparable styles in other brands cost around $150 - $200 and honestly I'd be willing to pay that for a comfortable boot I plan on wearing for another decade, but being able to return ill fitting shoes is a MUST, and since Madden sells through Amazon it's kind of a no-brainer.
