Otter Tape Dispenser - Cute Water Animal Office Desk Accessory

Super cute, bought as a gift. It was a big hit and looks nice.

It's so realistic and absolutely adorable. I smile every time I look at it on my desk. Closest I'll ever get to a sea otter!!

This little tape dispenser is as cute as it looks in photos.

Looks cute on my office desk, but the tape cutter blade isn't great, and you still have to hold the dispenser in one hand and finagle cutting the tape with the other, so it's more of a conversation piece than a cute "real" tape dispenser.

I got this for my daughter. Some keep points ---1) The tape blade does stick over more that other tape dispensers, so keep that in mind and you will be fine.2) The spool is smaller than the average scotch tape hole in the role BUT as someone else mentioned just put some take around the spool and you will be good. I tried to put in a roll from another dispenser but the arms that slide into the actual holder where too thick so adding tape was the best way and it works.

I'm not usually one to buy whimsical decor but I made an exception and glad I did! The carving is very detailed and realistic, even better than the photo appears. It looks very lifelike and adorable so I don't mind keeping it on my desktop as opposed to hiding in a drawer, which is good because I use it often. Functionality is great too. The tape rolls smoothly and stays put well after you tear a piece off. It has a good weight to it so that one handed operation is easy and it is stable even when frantically wrapping a last second gift...not that I would do that because I'm a great planner...ahem... :) As far as size perspective, my palm reached from his tail tip(tape cutter) to his nose and it's as wide as my standard sized computer mouse. For the price of a normal boring stapler, you get a cute conversation piece so I consider this a bargain. It comes in a box from the manufacturer, then was packed with a lot of newspaper, then put in another bigger box. this proved to be adequate to avoid shipping damages. I bought the otter tape dispenser for myself and really love it. Yes the metal piece is sharp but if you are careful you will not get cut. I think it is well worth the price and really cute.

My granddaughter is fond of art projects, but had trouble getting the tape she needed off a regular tape roll. This works great for her, and she no longer has to interrupt me or her parents to help her tape things together. Plus, this is visually cute. Since it is specifically hers, she can lay claim to ownership and fend off her brothers who want to use it.
