Vegetable Glycerin (VG) (also called glycerol, glycerine or glycerin) is a simple polyol (sugar alcohol) compound. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. Glycerol has three hydroxyl groups that are responsible for its solubility in water and its hygroscopic nature. The glycerol backbone is central to all lipids known as triglycerides. Glycerol is sweet-tasting and generally considered non-toxic. It is also used in electronic cigarettes. Propylene Glycol (PG) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C3H8O2. It is a viscous colorless liquid which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. Chemically it is classed as a diol and is miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water, acetone, and chloroform. It is produced on a large scale and is primarily used in the production of polymers but also sees use in food processing as the E-number E1520. Used in electronic cigarettes and in the process of flavor extraction as a preservative. **Vegetable Glycerin is thick (high viscosity). Remove dropper tip before dispensing. New wide mouth bottle coming soon.
