BOSS Audio Systems MC300 Weatherproof 2.5 Inch 400 Watt Motorcycle ATV Amplified Speaker System with Chrome and Black Grilles, 3.5 mm Aux Input, Volume Control and Handlebar Mount

I ordered this Boss Audio MC300 system to replace a rather inferior quality unit made by Shark. This system is very compact and appears to be better made than the other Asian produced systems.The compact size, integrated amp and wired volume control knob were big selling points for me. The volume control actually works from "mute" to full volume (or to "11" as in This is Spinal Tap). The installation was very easy and the results are just what I wanted. The sound quality is reasonable, but it's still on par with many systems costing much more.Overall ... I'm a very happy camper.

They are cool. But they are better for a bycicle they are really small. And even with my 60 cc motor. They can be a little difficult to hear with the motor running. I thought I would get a differnt sound quality from a better batterie then the 12v 3500 mah rechargable pack I use. So I tried it on a car batterie and the quality was the same. This speaker can not take much load. And the volume nob is really sensitive and your at full volume less then 1/2 the nobs capacity. Any more past half you get feed back on the more bassy songs. I thought there was a compartment for a USB drive or SD card. But only one AUX male end out. And volume control. If I'm just riding around they are really loud. But going down the road at 25 mph. I could hardly tell what's playing.

previously bought BOSS MC500 that worked nice, bought two MC300 and both failed on the volume control

After a few weeks the right speaker failed to work. Bought another one from amazon this time, and, again, after a few weeks the left one failed to work. Worked well at speeds over 55, but.....

Easy to install, good volume. The volume control doesn't like low settings too much, which is why the 4 stars, but for the price you can't beat it.

I like these speakers a lot. They have a very nice look and they sound great. I only wish I could use them on my Harley but, the bike is too loud.

I was so excited about ordering these because I desperately wanted to replace my 100 watt Shark system. Shark offered almost zero customer service, no instructions or fasteners. Stay away from Shark. I'm so disappointed. The Boss speakers are no louder than the Shark system. These are good speakers for around town. They are small (I would have used them on an FZ6 w/ no problem) and look great. I like how the wires are run and they included simple instructions. I also love that it's an integrated amp.

better off buying the mc400

Not loud enough for a bike with pipes. Kind of expected that. Needs a little more bass from a larger speaker to over power the Thunder of the pipes. Took them off and wiring them up for deck speakers around the hot tub.

WORST SOUNDING SPEAKERS EVER. Dollar store speakers sound better. I can't give these away. Very misleading ad, no way these are 400 watts.Very disappointed

Delivered early, work as advertised, sounds as good as you would expect for the price. But did not come with a fuse or a switch to turn it on and off.
