AchlaAchla Designs Glass Toadstool Mushroom Gazing Ball - Fern Green

Love it.

LOVE IT!! I have a Rabbit Birdbath....... holding a chantrelle mushroom as the birdbath and had a small 6" round gazing glove in the middle, but never really liked it. Went to a local garden center and saw a HALF globe and had a job figuring out what it was called and then saw THIS and said, "YES!!" .... IT DOES HAVE A TONGUE base to it that fits into a stand or pedestal!! So the base raised the Toadstool an inch or so up from the base of the birdbath and I didn't quite care for that........ so I ran and got some dried spagnum moss and tucked that all around the edges and let it float down the sides (after I had my husband drill a hole through the bath so the water would drain out... of course). I bought some acrylic paints and when the weather is less WET, I will add some color to the rabbit and mushroom....... since I've already painted it white.

I had to order another one this week. Last year I broke it by letting the water from my cold hose hit it. I live in Florida so the glass was hot. This is a warning to all of you. I put mine a pedestal from a bird bath that broke and it fits perfect. I painted the birdbath copper paint and the two together look awesome!

A beautiful piece for the garden! Exactly as described. They have a lot of beautiful colors to choose from, I will order more in the future.UPDATE! I wanted to order more but this didn't last one summer in the Texas heat, it just shattered to pieces. It would be pretty if you keep it in the shade.

Beautiful shape, bright colors (we got ice blue and yellow green as well). So far, durable despite lots of hot sun and rain.

Beautiful color that changes in the light. Very heavy glass.
