Not perfect but pretty dang good
Recently purchased the LEDGlow RGB kit.I intend to use the kit in a refurbish project on an old antique radio cabinet (turning it into a modern touchscreen jukebox), and these lights will be used to color wash the wall behind and below.First kit I got, one tube had half the blue LED's burnt.I emailed the seller, who promptly sent a second kit that worked completely. Great Service! The kit is a really easy hookup. You'll need a 12v DC powersupply with at least 3-4amps. This is no problem if it's going in a car, but if you're using it in a project like mine, that's something to be aware of.Just connect to two power wires and that's it. Screw the tubes where you need them. The leads for each tube and the power wire are reasonably long, so positioning shouldn't be a problem. One thing to note. All the wires are hardwired into the control module. There are no plugs. This means you have to be able to run the tubes themselves to whereever you're going to put them (or be prepared to cut the wires and splice longer lengths in, no impossible, just tedious. The control module has 14 or so modes. Some are animated, some are just fixed colors. And it's got one "music" mode, which seems to react more to the vibrations in the surface that it's mounted to rather than actual music in the air. It's an OK effect, not great, but reasonable for the price. One big plus. Whatever mode you set it to, if you remove power, then turn the power back on, it comes back on in that mode. This is perfect for my use in a jukebox. I'd imagine it's the right thing to do for just about anything. Now, the not so good. When you have it in "music" mode and there's no music, it sits there, flashing blue. Why it's not just black or allow you to select one of the other modes for that, I don't know. Finally, the LEDS are BRIGHT! Really bright. Really makes for a nice lighting effect. All in all, a decent kit for the money. Not perfect, but definitely workable.

Easy enough to install, looks great
Installed these lights into my 2002 Ford Explorer and they look fantastic. They're very bright and look amazing at night, and have a variety of modes for colors and patterns. Alot of people seem to have mentioned buying a converter to plug them into their 12v outlets but I found the best way to install them was to use a fuse tap (same as an "add-a-circuit" for like $5) and hook them up to the interior fuse panel, in my case to a switched fuse that wasn't being used. That allows them to be powered when the car is turned on without taking up an outlet. After running the wires behind the dash and trim, I was able to get all the lights placed and have the control unit rest in the glove box without any wires showing. The kit comes with screws for mounting but you could easily use zip ties or double sided tape like I did. Overall they're great value for the money and have given my ride a great new feature that looks incredible.

Simply put: WOW!
I ordered this thinking the LED would not be great quality cause of the low price but I was completely wrong !! They work great !!Installation: Unless you plan on hooking your wiring to a power source other than your cigarette lighter, you don't need to purchase anything extra. To place and hold the lights you need either zip ties, Velcro, or simple tape which I used to put the lights in place. Gorilla tape works best since the other tapes would not stick to the interior. It comes with screws to drill holes but that's risky if you ever plan on moving them around. I also bought a 12 volt cigarette adapter to hook the wires up. It's much easier than hooking them up to your battery or whatever and works great. I bought one at Radio Shack for $14.99 cause I was impatient but the makers sell it here for less than $10 so order both the kit and adapter if you want a quick and efficient way to install hassle free. I have a Mazda6 so the cables were well long enough to cover the spaces I wanted.Quality: The lights look spectacular !! They are top-notch quality and one of the four light strips can completely illuminate the spaces in front of the seats. I used one on the driver side, two on the passenger (only because I really wanted to impress my guests but one can easily do) and one in the middle of the back seats below. Some lights modes aren't great and look like Christmas lights which I don't want to have on. But the stable blue, red and green modes are the only ones I use and they all look equally astonishing !! The sound mode is "okay" since it really only follows the bass so make sure it is blasting for a decent effect.I recommend this to anyone wanting a simple upgrade on the looks for their car and definitely affordable considering the great quality. Several friends have been asking where to get them for themselves. 5 stars !!
