I wanted to love this kit but unfortunately I was duped. When I took them out of the pouch the sides of the utensils were not shiny but rough. They are stamped stainless steel but the jury is out on that. They left an awful metal taste in my mouth as well. Be careful what you order on Amazon as they do not take proper steps to make sure what the consumer is getting isn’t cheap toxic metal. Lesson learned.

It's possible that the mixed reviews about this set are because Amazon seller has one listing but sends product from different batches. The set I received has no sharp edges, it seems to be a very nice quality, and the case is stylish enough to carry around and not look like a total dork when you pull out your stainless steel utensils to avoid disposable utensils. If you want to be a leader in doing what is right for the environment, or if you want to be a trend-setter, or if you just want to be full-dork, this set will do the trick. If you get one that has sharp edges or doesn't make you happy, send it back and try something else. As for me, mine is a perfectly lovely set.

Unwrapped to wash and was surprised by how nice the flatware is! Better than our everyday at home stuff ;)Haven't had opportunity to use the chopsticks as yet but was interesting that they are NOT the typical round metal kind. The inch at the ens is light texture and the barrels are sort of rounded triangular, I think these will be much easier to manipulate than plain round.The straight straw is long enough to use in a standard 32 oz. quickie mart cup, could have been a touch bigger in diameter IMHO, but serviceable non the less. Personally I will probably never use the angles straw... but it is NOT long enough for the 32 oz cup and I feel that if anything other than water (maybe clear liquids) was through it you may not be able to clean the bend area (ewwwww)The case fits all very nice and appears like it will last long time. Over all I am very happy with first purchase and with Christmas coming I will be getting more for family!Thanks for not ripping me off with cheep crap! This is the good stuff! :)

Loved the carrying case. Utensils light but also substantial. Easy to clean - great for hotel room stay to eat take out.
