I read the instructions on Amazon's page as we did not keep the packet. It says not to apply in drought conditions or frozen turf. So the answer is yes. You can also - it says - after mowing the lawn. Your garden must be established to use it. For more info look on the Amazon site and read the box instructions for further info. Hope this helps you.

Personally, I would wait until there is a 48 hour dry weather forecast before I applied the product. If you water the lawn, you may reduce the effectiveness. Best to wait a couple of days before watering the lawn
