MAE PLOY Curry Paste, Red, Small, 14-Ounce (Pack of 4)

I'm not a great cook, but I've been able to create red curry that is on par with my favorite restaurants using this paste, coconut milk, and assorted vegetables plus chicken. It's super simple to use, and the flavor is great. The paste is much more salty than others I've tried, so it's not appropriate if you like to use fish sauce.Also, for the best flavor I recommend using a LOT more sugar than it recommends on the container.

So good! This is a great base for making a red curry of the caliber found in mid-range Thai restaurants. Not necessarily the absolute best red curry ever, but way better than any pre-made base I've found yet. We use it so much now that I've added it to my subscribe and save for even better pricing :)

From previous use, I know the product is good. But the distributor sent me product that is less than two months of expiration. It has a two year shelf life, according to the label. What they sent me is nearly two years old and set to expire.

I like the taste of this product the best with kefer lime leaves to make a great tasting thai dish
