This was a special gift for my 14 yr old niece. I wanted to get something that represented being unique and embracing who you are. A seahorse came to mind since it resembles a horse but swims in the sea... I also wanted it to be a beautiful keepsake. I did a ton of internet research and this one just stood out. I got a matching one for me and wrapped both inside a special box with a message explaining if she promises to always embrace her individuality and be the young woman God made her to be that I promise to do the same. It really is a well-made piece of jewelry and I am ecstatic I found it and created a special moment with a special girl. <3

This is such a great piece around the neck of my pretty girlfriend. She gets lots of compliments and it really is stunning. It's the perfect size and the opals in the body of the seahorse are very colorful and dainty looking, which sets off the graceful design of the seahorse. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to make a statement of grace and simplicity along with being very pretty. The only thing I don't like about it, is it has a stamp on the back of the seahorse that states :Chiba:, they could do without that! Other than that I am very glad I bought it for her and she absolutely loves it! And wears it a lot.

I got this as a gift for my significant other, and she absolutely loved it.Something to note. As with all jewelry online, you need to realize that the picture makes it appear bigger than it is. It's not a small necklace by far, but it's smaller than I had assumed. It's a good size, but just make sure you view pictures with a grain of salt.Speaking of pictures, the Opal doesn't truly get the best representation in the pictures on the site. Obviously, every opal doesn't look the same, and I'm happy that the opal in my necklace had more hues of blue. It looks very pretty.Five out of Five

I cannot believe how pretty this is! The opal is beautiful with plenty of fire, the setting is wonderfully delicate. I have gotten several compliments on it already. Not sure about the quality/durability of the necklace yet, but so far so good. Would totally recommend.Edit: 10 years later, it's just as beautiful as the day I bought it. I have had some scary moments when I thought I lost it, but always found it. I've had to replace the necklace several times over the years, but the pendant remains true. And I still compliments all the time. It is def a conversation starter

I bought this necklace seeing all the wonderful reviews but am disappointed after seeing the actual pieces the color of the opal looks a lot better in the picture. The actual color is no where as vivid. Sadly this necklace is going back.

I am usually terrible at picking gifts for my wife. When we were dating, I bought her a CD tower that almost killed our relationship. I picked this necklace because of the high ratings it received on Amazon. When it arrived, I thought it looked beautiful. It is small, but very elegant. I was right . . . my wife loved it.
