We decorate with pine needles in our landscaping, instead of bark, to prevent pesty insects. We top our beds off every spring with the fresh bales of pine straw and the look is beautiful. However, by fall the needles look tired and have lost some of their brighter dark red color. We purchased Colorback in the red color and boy was it bright.😎 At first, I didn’t like it, but as a few weeks past the redness toned down some and I fell in love with it. It’s kinda like going to the beauty shop and getting that hair color that startles you, but in a few weeks after washing a few times you love it! We women can relate to that.😂 Anyway, the beautiful color lasted all through the winter here in TN. I highly recommend this product and wld also suggest that maybe you cld buy the brown color too, and mix in a little brown with the red color before applying the colors to the needles or bark, if you don’t want to wait a few weeks for it to tone down in color. We have gotten so many good complements on the pine needle’s color, even when it was brighter red, with many of the walkers asking wht we used and where did we buy it. We applied the colorback with an ordinary pump up sprayer but do not drip the color on your concrete or get it on your brick….IT WILL STAIN. We purchased poster board paper at the local $1. store and used it as a barrier between the pine needles and our brick. We had no staining problems at all, except for 4-5 drips on the driveway, which was totally my fault, but a little bleach and elbow grease solved the problem. It’s easily mixed, just add water, and easy to use when applying with the pump up sprayer. I highly recommend this product. It goes a very long way.

This is a great product that lasts for months and save money and hard work from adding to or replacing your mulch. I sent a picture of my much being half sprayed with Colorback that shows how great it adds color and refreshes your mulch look. I have been using for a few years now and I love it. Just use a pump sprayer, I prefer a back pack prayer for fast work to a larger area.

This colorback is easy to use and stays on the mulch, but it was too orange for my red mulch, which I also thought was too orange. The easy solution was to add Wine color clothing dye to the water and colorback. You can get just the right shade this way, and it doesn't wash away. I imagine this technique would work well for darker colors too, adding a little brown or black.

Works as described. Got mulch that was supposedly red but came looking brown. Mixed easily as per directions and applied week with generic sprayer. Has rained several times and color still holding up well. Also dries quickly and covers area as listed

I rake up pine needle then I run them over with the lawnmower and use them for mulch. After placed in the beds I spray paint them with this product and it looks fantastic. The pine needle don't attract termites like mulch can and they block all the weed seeds from sprouting. Best this is I save hundreds of dollars not buying mulch. I love it!

So I went to chip drop where you can get flea chips from people who cut down trees they sat there for a year and a half. I’ve tried different things and stains and I got that go very far but this stuff is absolutely fantastic so I put it in a 2 gallon sprayer, but I added about 6 ounces per gallon a good heavy medium flow sprayer. The results were fantastic considering my chips and sitting there for a year and a half in the sun, I didn’t have much hope for it but boy was I surprised so that’s free chips and a little 20 $30 bottle of that stuff and it is thick. It is very concentrated.

I absolutley love this . I WAS ABLE TO REFRESH ALL MY RED MULCH TO LOOK AS THOUGH I BOUGHT ALL NEW MULCH . SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS .
