The Essential Isley Brothers

They have been around for a long time. They are the best still

I've been listening to the Isly Brothers since the late 1950s, when they emerged with their fist big hit single, "Shout". While the song scored big on Rhthym-n-Blues Radio, it was pretty much ignored on Top 40 Radio. It would take a cover by Joey Dee and the Starlighters for the song for to be truly appreciated by the world. Indeed, the same case could be made for "Twist-n-Shout" (a song they did not write); it would take a cover by the Beatles for the world to stand up and cheer. Meanwhile, the Isly Brothers (who really are brothers) soldiered on with a series of hits of their own creating: "This Old Heart of Mine","It's Your Thing", "I Wanna Be With You", "Freedom", etc. All these years later, these tunes sound as fresh as they day they arrived in record stores .

When I received the first CD, I didn't realize there were two, so you sent me another, I gave one as a gift, I'm 82 so I really know about the Isley Brothers, loved 😍 ❤️ 💙 the two CDS 💿 ❤️, it is quality, which is what I've gotten from all the CDS 💿 I have ordered from Amazon

This completes my collection of the Isley brothers I had purchased an earlier 2 disc collection of greatest hits, but this one has all their hits.

I really liked their version of Summer Breeze! That is a jam!
