Not really as described
There were two very similar looking products, one cheaper than the other. The cheaper one said it was an all plastic case and this one which was more expensive seemed to suggest an aluminium one. Its not, its also plastic.It seems to work OK, however, but I'm wondering whether I could have saved some money with the cheaper one.

Not accurate
Calibrated this on purchase against various map scales and was not at all accurate. There is no way of zeroing and the wheel is very stiff. Very disappointing and not even cheap.

It just skids over the map and the pointer does not move
It just does not work, the mechanism is too stiff there is not enough friction with the surface of the map for the little wheel. It just skids on the surface of the map and does not operate the pointer.
