For care of several common foot problems, use the McKesson dancer sesamoid pad. This pad helps provide relief for arthritis, bunions and toe pain in individuals who are active on their feet. The sesamoid foot pad takes pressure away from metatarsal and big toe joints. As a result, more pressure is placed on the lesser metatarsal region, near the smallest toe. This pad works for the right foot. To use the Dancer foot pad, place it over the foot's metatarsal region, with the concave portion fitting around the big toe. Users should feel a comfortable fit when it's correctly applied. This sesamoid pad has an adhesive backing that sticks securely to the foot, even when active. The adhesive comes off easily, leaving virtually no residue behind. Pads are 1/8 inch thick, so they can be worn with any footwear.

Works like magic for my sesmoiditis
This is my third round of sesamoid trouble. Last time my doctor gave me a Hapad, which is similar to this pad but thicker. The Hapad took the stress off the sesamoid, but it was so thick that it felt like I was standing on a rock. This pad is perfect for my foot. I knew right away when reviewers were complaining about it being too thin that it would be a good fit for me. It is thin, but that's what I personally need. It sticks to the bottom of your foot. As soon as I put it on, I felt almost complete relief; my foot felt almost normal. After three days, the sesamoid area is no longer sore.Because sesamoiditis takes so long to heal, I plan on using the pad in my sneakers for a month or two longer, then transitioning to another stiff-soled shoe (Alegria) with the pad, then gradually spending time without the pad, then very slowly going back to regular shoes. If you rest the sesamoid for a long time (months), in my experience it will heal completely. I only reaggravated it by bending my toe back doing yoga stretches - my toe just can't handle that particular thing anymore.I think the type of pad you need just depends on your foot. This thinner pad is perfect for me; another person who needs a thicker pad might try the Hapad. Also, my skin has not reacted to the adhesive; it's perfectly fine so far. When I removed the pad to shower, there was a bit of residue on my foot that was easily removed. I'm so happy I found these pads!

Terrific sesamoid pads but . . .
No longer seem to be available. McKesson bought Moore and seems to have ditched these pads altogether. The similar pads now being sold on Amazon from Dr. Jill's are fair but not as good as the pads formerly offered by Moore. Most manufacturers seem to be pushing customers to the new technology pads that are much more expensive and less effective.

Work well, good adhesive
UPDATE 12/16/18: I went on a vacation this month where I was walking around barefoot almost constantly. The pain from my hallux limitus was acting up and my foot was really painful. The soreness persisted after the trip ended and I got back in to sneakers. After a few days back I decided to put on another pad before going out one night. The pain instantly went away. I can conclusively say that these alleviate the pain of walking around with hallux limitus (for me).I got these items to try out how dancer pads feel. I have Hallux Limitus in my right foot but still try to be active. I'm not 100% sure if this product alleviates the discomfort from this problem. The item is a good size and the shape is consistent among all the pieces. The adhesive is fantastic and will hold for a while. If I put it on after a shower, it will stay in place up to 48hrs without coming loose (that's as long as I've gone between showers since ordering this, it might stay on for longer). My only problem with them is that the adhesive backing is VERY hard to peel off. I considered giving it 4 stars for the difficulty of getting this ready, but overall the item performs as it was intended so I won't nit pick.As a side note, I'm a man with large feet. I haven't tried yet, but I may get more benefit from a 1/4 inch pad instead of this 1/8 inch pad. Keep that in mind if you have a similar issue.

Good, came as described
These work as described. I'm not sure why earlier reviews disagree about whether to buy left or right. The pads labeled RIGHT are made to stick to the bottom of your right foot or the bottom of the insole in your right shoe. If you want to stick them to the top of an insole, then you need LEFT pads. Maybe some people are using them incorrectly and so they aren't sure which way they go. If you search "dancer's pad" on youtube you'll see videos of how to apply them.

Completely useless
There is no padding whatsoever here, and the shape is wrong as well. Completely useless. Had to return, which was exceedingly and unnecessarily difficult with this seller. Overall, awful product, and terrible customer service.

Works well
Product is excellent. But packaging was overboard. Product pkg was 6 x 6, put in a cardboard box 8 x 10. So wasteful

Mediocre
Pros : Product sticks well to foot bottom if clean. I used alcohol and cotton ball. Cons : Needs to be a little thicker to take weight off the ball and disperse across pad. After an injury it is not sufficient on its own & I had to combine with a shoe insert to relieve pain and facilitate healing but better than nothing. Not too much available that I saw that is better but my search was limited.

Not a miracle cure but a useful tool
Sesamoiditis is horrible, these pads help a little. I experimented with these a lot; they stick to your foot well but are not really re-usable for more than 2-3 days. I preferred sticking them to orthotics and insoles rather than directly to my foot. The adhesive is strong but not so strong that the felt rips when you pull it off plastic, which is great. They are different for right and left foot, but to be honest it’s not hard to grab a pair of scissors and adjust that. They stick to themselves pretty well so you can stack 2-3 if you need to. Pricey, and it’s probably cheaper to buy thick sticky felt and cut it yourself, but these are convenient and I can carry a few extra in case I feel I want to adjust the padding in my shoes.
