Pretty and sleek. Not a good workhorse box.
I have a few traditional wooden storage/art boxes and then I saw this metal one. It is very modern and sleek but it almost is too nice as you just don't want to scratch or ding up the metal parts! I am going to use it more for storage then schlepping around as I really do not want to spoil the nice metal sides and general look.It has a good lower storage compartment and a nice tray. I like the top small storage areas for little things...nice touch.If you are looking for something rough and tumble, this is not the box for you. Get a traditional hard plastic hardware type tool box. This is a very attractive box but if and when it gets banged up or scratched, it will lose the aesthetic quickly.

The metal cladding around the outside prevents the walls from bowing out
Had it for 1yr now. Plan A is to make the whole box in metal as in the old days. Plan B is to reinforce with metal the weak points: namely the side walls which can bow out under stress.So this mix of metal and plastic seems near optimal.

Great looking box for display
Great looking box, but I would not use this for any real utility/construction work. It will get beat up real quick. I got this box to store all of my watch modding tools. I do not need to transport this box anywhere. It just sit on the shelf looking really shinny along side my watch collection. I used a regular steel tool box for my regular tools.

Solid and well made
16 inch, flat top, stainless steel and ABS. It is a nice little toolbox. I got one for gun smithing tools and I am getting another one for bike repair tools. I live in a small apartment, no garage. I needed to compartmentalize my tools. Grab this box to do this, that box for that.

Too small.
Its too small for what I had planned to put in. The measurements provided are for outside so subtract about 2inches for the inside measurements

Good quality, well built
I was nervous buying this online but very pleased with it. It’s a good size and seems to be very well made and sturdy. I’m not carrying it by the handle a lot so I’m not sure how it would hold up to that but so far so good! It will store a standard size hammer but my 16 inch level won’t fit easily, only if I strategically put at an angle. Doesn’t bother me, but I thought it might be useful information.

Great design, fair to good build quality suitable for home use
A very well thought out and useful toolbox, I especially like the pockets for screws and washers. It’s a great place to store my most common drills wrenches etc. Previously I would lose and rebuy tools repeatedly because I would misplace them. The only cheap aspect is the fasteners, they come loose easily but are just as easy to put back

Great for the price
This tool box was purchased for my new niece. It will start as a hair accessory box. As she gets older it can be used for what ever she likes.
