Member's Mark Stainless Steel 2.2 L Airpot w/Lever

I purchased these for the church and they really keep the coffee hot. Plus they are super easy to pump the coffee out of the pot.

I bought this to have an extra one as my older one is showing signs of age. The two look exactly the same in every detail except my older one says Bakers and Chefs on the bottom and this new one says Member's Mark.I'm thinking I must have gotten a bad one. The first thing I noticed was that the box appeared to have been opened before, a return maybe? For the same reason maybe? Other than that everything appeared fine, no damage, nice and shiny. However, after cleaning and rinsing a few times, I put freshly brewed coffee in it. Within minutes the outer casing was hot. My old one does not do that, it stays room temp on the outside to the touch. Needless to say this new one did not keep the coffee hot for very long. It useless for my needs. I'm not sure returning it will be worth the hassle.
