exact replacement for original. no problem with metric threads as others said in their reviews. Original bolt screwed right in.

This fit perfectly on my 1999 25 hp Mercury. I did have to buy a bolt to mount the anode.It was a metric size.

Okay but not perfect
The part fit good in my 1990 mercury 25hp outboard, but my only problem was that I had to buy a 5/16-18 drill tap and retap the treads because it didn't come with hardware and my original bolt didn't tread into it so I had just converted it instead of hunting down a specific bolt just for it.

Came cross threaded
The threads looked like they were cross, threaded or messed up when casting. I filed for a refund.
