Easily the best you can get for under $30 (in 2023)
I wanted to make sure that I tested this out throughly before posting a review; with products like this, sometimes (actually… usually!) quality issues don’t become apparent until you use it a bit.Now that I have used it for well over a month now (and worn it for well over 60 miles of hiking through the Massachusetts mountains), I can confidently say that this is easily the best rucksack/backpack that I’ve ever purchased for under $30.The space is ample and, just as importantly, logically placed around the pack. The shoulder straps have eyelets that let me easily and securely place my hydration hose over the shoulder straps, and it never moves or goes out of place, making the hose always there when I need it.There is a pouch in the main compartment where I keep the bladder, and although it wasn’t made for it (at least I don’t think so, but I could be wrong) my full 2L reservoir fits inside perfectly. I’ve attached a photo just to show how easily the hose weaves through the strap, and how well the reservoir/bladder sits inside, but obviously the hose and bladder are not included. And again, for clarity, this is using a standard 2 liter bladder with a detachable hose.In short, yes, it is hydration reservoir/bladder and hose friendly— which is super important to many of us on the trail! And again: the hydration system is NOT part of the bag and is not included, I’m just illustrating how well it fits the most common designs. How is it for overnight trips? I can’t speak for that— yet. There are two bottom straps that easily fit a bedroll, and the main compartment can easily fit a small tent or hammock; they’d also likely fit just fine on the side straps, too, but again, I haven’t taken it overnight (yet), but will update this review when I do.There would still be ample room for your supplies, though to be fair I do not see this as being well suited for trips out in the back country that are planned to be over 1-2 nights, though that all depends on how and what you pack. As for me personally (I consider myself an “average” hiker in regards to what I pack and need) it would likely be perfect for two nights or less worth of clothing, provisions, and supplies. Anything more would likely be pushing it, though again, for the price, it is exactly what I wanted.I’ve used it through the rain, and although it wasn’t through a monsoon, it still protected everything inside way more than I expected. Everything inside remained dry as could be, though I am not yet sure how it will hold up in torrential rain storms. The bottom line is exactly what this review title says. If you’re just starting out on the trails or have been on them for years, and if your budget isn’t huge at the moment, then I truly don’t think there are many better options. It’s absolutely awesome.

Lots of Space
This was my first time going to Europe with a Backpack. I wanted to first see what size would work for me before I invested in a more expensive backpack for future trips. I was going on a month long trip in Nov/Dec so I needed warm and winter clothes for various climates I would be visiting. I’m 5’2” and 180lbs, 56 yr old so this backpack was manageable for me. Below are pros and cons:Pros-Spacious for 3 compression bags of clothes (picture shows most of clothes I took), side pockets for my rain poncho, inflatable pillow. And easy access top pocket for charging cords, converter plug, etcStraps to connect my neck pillow, warmer winter vest rolled up like a sleeping pad and a sitting foam pad (green one in pics).Chest straps to help keep weight distributed.Cons-Extra shoe compartment did not fit regular sized walking shoes. Was very small, ended up putting other things in that space.Zippers were very difficult to use when fully packed. Over time I figured out how to hold material together to help zippers move easier but at first was very difficult.Backpack does not have a hard frame like more expensive ones to help keep it flat against your back. One strap end closure slipped off (waist strap) and I had to rethread twice. Hoping that it doesn’t keep happening.Overall very happy with backpack for my trip and it’s very good price. It hasn’t shown any signs of falling apart at all so that’s good for being carried across Europe and trains and planes.

Value
I did a trail hike and loved this backpack! It also fit into the overhead compartment of the airplane so I was able to use it as my carry on! This bag has plenty of room and I love the shoe compartment.

It's ok
The bag looks nice, but it's not designed for rugged hiking/camping. It would do fine if you just need something for a weekend every now if you are walking nice clean trails. However, the fabric is thin so if you will be walking through the brush, climbing, or packing heavy etc. then you want something thicker/stronger. It's a great design so it would be perfect if it had stronger fabric.

Great Backpack
This is a great backpack for your outdoor adventures!I was looking for a lightweight backpack with enough compartments that I didn't have to hunt for everything that I was carrying with me on my tours. I also needed it to be able to carry some weight as I tend to pick up rocks and stones while I'm out on my excursions. The only problem I will have is remembering which pockets I put everything in!While this backpack is light; it is made of decent, quality materials and the zippers are strong and have lasted very well so far.I was leery about buying a hiking bag online without being able to feel and test the quality before I purchased it but I am glad I took the chance and ordered this one! I may just have to order some for family and friends when they join my on my adventures.
