A classic
I remember watching this movie as a kid on television. I had forgotten much of it but as I watched,it all came flooding back to me. The don't make movies like this anymore. I highly recommend. It felt good watching a movie with no violence, bad language or acting, and no nudity.

The Stranger Within
When i was little this made for tv movie came out and i was watching portions with my mother... when it aired in like 1972 or was rerun by 1976 or so...I believe my God mother was around and maybe we all watched it...I remember certain portions...barbara eden was wonderful in this! She went through a lot so she did not ned to be a method actress/actor. The casting was great! Now that story was incredible! made to parallel Rosemarys Baby. Looking at this.. what can you do?... Even if you outguessed the ending? The husband never noticed the other strange things the wife was doing like that painting. It went exactly with all those trips she been taking. When she looekd at the husband the way she did.... that means she was not coming back and he never caught on... that's why she was mean. i remember my mother and Ms Bernice (godmother) they lknew what that look meant. She did that a lot! that was some creepy ass food that alien made her eat! octopus pigs feet liver and some other nasty s***! with salt! When she was in the record store and then reading super fast and not with the fingers....that was scary! Now you got to remmebr this was a low budget movie with existing technology...The ending was sooo sad! It wasnt just an alien invasion it was the loss of all those women.)

I LOVE THIS MOVE
'Spoiler Alert'I loved this movie as a kid in 1974. Barbara Eden was awesome, andI felt sorry for hubby George Grizzard after he learned the truth. The ending confused me. From what was insinuated, the females andtheir offspring departed Earth. However, because of all the knowledge in the Earth based sciences, history, and politics Ann (Barbara) was passing to her child, itwas more likely that the females were transported to an advancedcolony somewhere on Earth. David (Grizzard) mentioned that Ann readevery book in the house, and gave him a list of additional books sheneeded. As time passed, the offspring adapted themselves to thisclimate and slowly intergrated themselves into society. The final scene when Ann's portrait bursts into flames gave me theimpression that (her) home world had been destroyed, perhaps thousandsof years ago. Several colonies from that doomed world were sent to inhabitplanets in nearby solar systems. The offspring of these colonists, utilizingtheir superior technology and intellect eventually took over the Earth. It's all speculation. I had hoped there would be a sequel to thisgreat movie.

A Barbara Eden rare gem
I am a fan of Barbara, a true icon and classic Hollywood star. This movie is about a woman who inexplicably get pregnant to much surprise to the married couple. Throughout the movie Barbara's character get bizarre by doing things that is bad for the unborn child. At the end of the movie there is a hypnosis revealing what has happen. Recommended if you like this sort of thing. The ending was weird but it works. Overal the movie is good, but I find it drag along, but this was originally a TV movie in 1974,

It was a great low budget TV movie (sorry, that was redundant).
I hadnβt seen this back when it was released. I really liked it, though I like TV movies and lower my expectations-

Awful.
I'm going to be an anomally here ...But I didn't enjoy this TV movie.Hard to nail why, it's based on a Richard Matneson story, i love Duel and Dying room only. The era is great, it's well shot etc.Ultimately I just found it to be really really unengaging and super boring - which is a death blow to any film. The print was excellent.Giving this one ...3/10

Gripping movie here !
Written by Richard Matheson (I am legend, and he also wrote the novel of which they made the movie "somewhere in time" which is one of my favorite romantic and fantastic movie), The Stranger within has a really interesting plot and atmosphere. Acting is pretty good. Love those old seventies movies when they are gripping so...

A good thriller from the golden years of TV films
Don't expect a high budget or lots of special effects - you'll be disappointed. But if you like made-for-TV-thrillers from the seventies with tons of eerie atmosphere and psychological terror, this is the one for you. If you overlook the imperfections and a degree of silliness, you'll totally enjoy this on a Friday night (or any night for that matter). And for those of you who hesitate to buy Warner Archive's MOD releases: The quality is actually quite good, and is well worth the price. So start collecting!

Abduction and Implant-Retrieval Scenario Focsed On Recipient's Behaviour Up To Term Of Pregnancy.
The film was delivered promptly and was of a high quality in NTSC format.Although aimed at Barbara Eden fans, the film's premise should suit science fiction affionados
