International Version – Kindle Oasis – Now with adjustable warm light - 8 GB, Graphite

Compared to my older 5th gen Paperwhite with its 6", the Oasis has a larger 6.8" but the difference isn't that much in using them. Both are excellent e-book readers that are easy to hold with one hand or stuff in a carry bag. The 10 years gap between them is mostly evident on how they both do those things.The Oasis software is better. There's a wider range of fonts to choose from, the access to the menus is faster and they are better laid out. One of the niceties present on the Oasis but missing on the older Paperwhite is the ability to display on the lock screen the cover of the book I'm currently reading.The best is the hardware of the Oasis. It feels faster and snappier to use. The light is now customizable with a warm and auto setting - which is nice to have, and it has buttons. These buttons are what makes the Oasis the best Kindle currently available to purchase because they makes it easier to navigate a book and can be used with the thumb of same hand that hold the kindle. I wish that more Kindles had this feature

It's a worthwhile investment for any avid reader.However, I must mention one minor drawback: the battery life when data is on. It's disappointing that the battery drains faster in this mode. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Kindle Oasis can last for weeks on flight mode, making it ideal for long trips or extended reading sessions without access to a power source.Overall, the Kindle Oasis exceeds expectations in terms of design, performance, and value. Despite the slight issue with battery life when data is on, it remains an outstanding e-reader that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a premium reading experience.

Best kindle so far, because of its size - not too small, not too big. Comfortable to use, because of its back design and Good color and screen clarity.The only minus is Kindle unlimited - mostly it has very small (or bad) book choices

It will become one of the electronic loves of my life. I love it already. I read one book the day I got it and I haven’t done that in years. It is comfortable on the eyes, easy to hold, incredibly light, beautiful in form and function. I highly recommend it, even in 2024. It makes reading very, very easy and encouraging. I do admit that seeing the percentage of the book completed and pages remaining are a great psychological push to keep reading. Thank you Amazon.

Im satisfied with my new Kindle and would recommend it as long as it’s still the latest available gen.ProsAs the title says, the form factor and the two physical buttons is what I most appreciate. Other great features are battery life, the waterproof capacity, which means it can be used almost anywhere, and the screen auto-brightness.ConsThe main drawback is it’s lack of responsiveness. Sometimes it seems like the hardware is not up to the task. Being used to Apple products, I find this Kindle struggles with the software and doesn’t quite flow like you’d expect. Many actions requiere repeated taps on the screen, which can be frustrating.Secondly, the whole audiobook experience is far behind what you get on the Kindle app on your smartphone (iPhone, in my case), where I can have audio and text simultaneously, highlighting the text currently being read. On the Kindle, it’s one or the other. The audio playback is also a bit buggy on the Kindle.Finally, an updated USB-C port would be much appreciated, replacing existing outdated micro-USB connector.

Este es mi primer kinder y es todo o mejor de lo que esperaba ✨, al comienzo me preocupo un poco algunas reseñas que vi sobre la durabilidad de la batería, esto me asustó un poco al tomar la decisión. Tras investigar un poco decidí comprarlo, seguí los consejos que decían en algunos sitios web y en algunos videos de YouTube, para emplear el modo avión y el problema de la batería no fue más un problema. Llegó con él menos de un mes lo uso a diario y es perfecto para leer en cualquier momento, aún teniendo ojos sensibles a la luz de las pantallas, con el Kindle no tengo ese problema y disfruto leer. Recomiendo que lo compren de una vez con un protector, preferiblemente con una correa de agarre, ya que es mucho más cómodo si tiene una correa el leer en cualquier situación.
