Unhelpful Content
This book is organized by topics of interest (skills, equipment, medical conditions, procedures, ect...) of which each contain typically 1 - 3 paragraphs of generalized information too vague to be of any use to someone studying for the NREMT.Most of these sections end with the phrase "You need to read more about [topic]".The practice questions are poorly worded and questionable in their medial accuracy.

Buy AAOS, Brady or REA study guide instead - don't waste your money
Compared to other NREMT study guides and materials for test preparation, this is an inferior product. There are a couple of things which stand out immediately:- Lack of a decent editorial job (formatting, questions poorly worded, typographical errors).- No information about authors, publishers, and their credentials, e.g., “What /who is EMT Test Prep Team?”.- The content preceding actual practice questions is overly simplified and follows the pattern of a couple of sentences describing a subject matter followed by “... you need to read further on …” Personally I found that part of the book not useful at all.Overall, I would avoid using this study guide. There are far better options available. For example:- https://www.amazon.com/EMT-Basic-Review-Manual-National-Certification/dp/0763744662/- https://www.amazon.com/SUCCESS-EMT-Basic-2nd-Joseph-Mistovich/dp/0132253968/- https://www.amazon.com/EMT-B-National-Standards-Self-Test-3rd/dp/0131707876/For a condensed review and flashcards, I've found the following materials to be helpful:- https://www.amazon.com/dp/0738612359/- https://www.amazon.com/dp/0738612472/

The Typos Though
I used this book to prepare me for my upcoming EMT exam through the NREMT. I have not taken the exam yet so I can't vouch for whether it actually did help prepare me, BUT I CAN say that it has so many typos that I'm wondering who exactly wrote this book. THE NUMBER NINE IS IN ONE OF THE WORDS IN THE BACK. If they can't proof read properly, how can I expect them to provide me with the information I need to pass my exam? Furthermore, as other people have stated, they don't really go into detail about various topics and especially do not define terms. They advise you to "read further" or "read more about this, this and this to be prepared". I bought this book to prepare me, not to look at other sources. The grammar and overall professionalism of this book is a joke and I'm quite disappointed in that aspect. The only reason that I gave this review two stars is based on the only two things I can say about this book: it's a great starting off point for studying (provided you have to look further online (I used FISDAP) for more information, and it did have some useful information, particularly with the test questions in the back. Overall, I would not recommend this product.

DISAPPOINTED!
So, I wanted to like this study guide...maybe because of its cost, now that I think about it. There are so many typos and strange wording at times that I questioned whether this was almost written by someone whose first language is not English (especially chapter 9) the organization of the book is bizarre and not well organized. The chapters are not organized well and it would have been nice if they were more aligned with the actual text the NREMT Exam is based on. If I hadn't written in itI would return it, knowing what I know now as I have gotten through the book. In short, there are better options...specifically I have found an app called EMT-B PREP...its free but for $1.99 a week it has 38 practice tests and SO MANY practice question with their correct answers and explanations. In short, down load the app EMT-B PREP, don't buy this book. I am disappointed. If you want to be prepared for your test and make sure you know how to not Kill your patients...then dont use this study guide. ***Author: FIX THE ERRORS*** very unprofessional!

Not Very Helpful for my NREMT Test
Read book in it's entirety and studied 220 questions. None of the questions were on my NREMT Test.

Good Review
Provides great questions to review for the NREMT. Chapters listed in this book unfortunately does not match with the Emergency Medical Technician textbook used for the class (the big orange textbook.) The answers given also has an explanation of why the answers are correct.

Patient advocate
This is a good review to prepare for the State exam. All topics are covered in depth with a 220 question practice exam at the end. I read this on kindle and the only drawback was taking the test and when checking answers the other choices were not listed just the right answer and an explanation. It is difficult to bounce around from test to answers while reading on a phone. I used the answer section as a study area.

Loads of questions
The best thing is the variety and quantity of questions
