Let's start from the start...Initially a nice looking camera. Good weight to it, easy to attach to the wall. Extension cable for plug is a bonus, but this still only makes it approx 3m overall, so be aware of where to position it.Loses marks for the instruction booklet. Poor English, and although it explains how to install, there are no instructions on the functions of the App, Smart Life.Note: WILL ONLY CONNECT ON 2.4 NETWORK, NOT 5 GHZ.Camera will only record on continuos loop with a SD Card installed. Otherwise it will only record on motion detection to the cloud, which is hit and miss at best. You also have to pay £4 a month for cloud subscription PER CAMERA if you want this function.Once installed, with an SD card and positioned correctly, overall I am very pleased. The camera image is crisp and clear, the night vision is excellent.Motion detection can be a pain, it is ULTRA sensitive even with the sensitivity turned down. A cloud passing over the sun will trigger motion! Which means the alarm notification can be misleading as you will be constantly checking the camera every minute! And even with motion detected, it will not record that specific event.SUMMARYIf you want 24/7 recording, and have a SD card to use, without needing accurate notifications about motion detection, this is the camera for you!If you want a highly accurate detection camera which is flawless, then it is not.

Wifi was really difficult to load on and a nightmare to change .... picture quality is quite clear but havnt been able to review previous footage. Night vision so far very poor but we may change the position as we have a street lamp that may be relecting on it . The box had the wrong booklet in it from another style of camera so had to google all instructions not that the instructions were that clear anyway as it was deffinately a non english speaking translation.

As a security camera it works well but i wouldn't have bought if i had known the cost of cloud storage "$44.99" or notification on your phone"$132" both per annum Amazon should really tell you this up front but so long as you don't need this the camera is fine.

The media could not be loaded.  To start I will say I do like CPVan cameras. I first had the “[updated version] CPVan 1080p CPODRIPC6 outdoor security camera”. I was very pleased with the picture quality and the NetSee app. Setup is easy. A few probs with over sensitive motion detection (even in low setting) but very good for the price . I emailed customer support to enquire about viewing on Alexa Echo Show - informed CPODRIPC6 is not compatible with Alexa. No problemo, I requested Amazon refund on the first camera and ordered two of the CPVan 1080p CPODRIPC6S. As I was impressed with first experience of cpvan camera and wanted front and rear cams with Alexa.End result - Disappointed. Picture quality has not been as good (even though camera spec seems the same) and both of the new cameras suffer from a very irritating blur / lose focus / flicker problem (or it is an issue with the smart life app) every two seconds the sharpness of the picture is lost and the picture flickers. This is on live view and also on playback.I didn’t have this problem with the different version of the camera. Even though I used the same fibre broadband Wi-fi and sd card as before.To top it off the Alexa echo show has a nasty time lag, in my case 8 or 9 secs. Enough to make the live view ( the only view Alexa echo can display) not much use at all. Wish I had stuck with the [updated version] CPVan 1080p CPODRIPC6 outdoor security camera, it didn’t have Alexa feature but I think was better picture with no flicker or focus / re focus blur problem.I had high hopes after first positive experience but sadly a miss not a hit for me.

Connects to smart life app on phone and works well. DOES NOT WORK WITH ALEXA. Smart life skill installed in Alexa App and linked to Smart life account but Alexa Show will not find device.
