Eco Water Urn: Biodegradable Urn for Water Burial, Burial at Sea

Ours worked out perfectly. I followed the instructions precisely (filled 50% with my parents ashes, it holds A LOT, and then sealed the cap with provided glue stick. We wanted to do an ocean burial, but the water was way too rough, so we did it in the nearby bay. It floated for approximately 10 minutes, then the cap popped and it immediately disappeared. Was soooo cool!The outer protection box is really pretty too. I decorated it with my parents pictures.If you do this the right way, you will not be disappointed.

My family and I wanted to spread my parents ashes in the ocean. I really didn’t even know how to go about it. My husband suggested I look into a biodegradable container to hold the cremains. Never even occurred to me. Long story short, I purchased this one. It held both my parents ashes. Very easy to use and fill and seal. It comes really well packaged. The urn itself is in a sturdy bamboo container. We dropped it in the water, threw out handfuls of flower petals. We watched it sink and the flower petals remain floating. The urn worked beautifully. I would suggest this to anyone who wants to spread loved ones ashes in any body of water. Well worth the money.

We used this urn recently to say our final farewells and it was exactly what we were looking for. It came very well packaged and the bamboo protective case was perfect for traveling.Once you applied the glue to the lid the ashes were held securely and when in the water it slowly dissolved jsut as described, making for a peaceful farewell. I really liked the ability for people to write personal messages on the side of the urn. It added a special, meaningful touch.Hopefully I won't need another anytime soon, but I'd definitely recommend it to others.

It was a very fast delivery and it's a Very good quality product. We had an ocean burial ceremony. Everything was perfect. Urn survived a drop into the water from about 3 feet, then stayed floating for about 4-5 minutes and slowly sink to the water. Just strictly follow the provided instructions. And the bamboo container is very nice, i will be using it to store some memorable things in it.

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic item for doing a memorial at sea. It floated for 2-3 minutes before it started disappearing beneath the surface. The bamboo container can be kept to place memories of your loved one.

Bought this to lay my mom to rest in the Gulf of Mexico. Shipping got delayed twice and had me worried, but it was eventually delivered only a day after the original quoted dates. Works as described…it took maybe 10 minutes to fully submerge, so maybe queue up a 3rd song for your ceremony, but this was the best experience I could have ever hoped for. Buy it you have time to wait for the product, or copy their design with paper mache if you get in a pinch. 100% recommend this urn!

I tried to make my own urns, using paper mache and also ice. I'm frugal and wanted to do something special for burials at sea for my parents. But none of my attempts turned out like I wanted so at the last minute I purchased two of these. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone based on my experience. We dropped them into the Atlantic Ocean from the deck of a Coast Guard cutter and they remained intact, floated away, eventually started took on water and sank in a circle of bubbles. Mom took way longer than dad....:). These urns helped us fulfill my parents last wishes in a dignified manner and I'm thankful they did.. I think my siblings were pleased with how they worked too. If I had ordered earlier I would have saved myself a lot of stress and a bundle on 2 day shipping. Whatever you choose to use, I hope your ceremony goes well.
