Barrington Hardwoods Walnut Lumber 3/4" x 2" (3/4" x 2" x 18") (2 Pcs)

So I’m an amateur woodworker (at best) and this was the first walnut wood set I’ve ordered. Everything looks great, dimensions are spot on but you can notice the slight bow in the boards which will make it a little tougher to work with. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.

I received my order of two 3/4"x 2"x 18" walnut boards today, and everything was exactly as expected. The grain isn't straight this time (as it has been in the past) but honestly I kind of like it better than straight grain. The grain pattern looks amazing (see photos). No knots, warps, tearout, etc. Exact dimensions exactly as advertised. They're great pieces of walnut. Honestly, you can't go wrong with this stuff. You get exactly what you expect to get, and it's reliable. I built a plane till out of my last shipment and it all went together perfectly and looks great.

Received part of the wood I ordered. This walnut is beautiful and will make great cutting boards. I just ordered more.

This was my third order from Barrington Hardwoods. The wood arrives cleanly cut. I don’t have a table saw so this works perfect for me. One time I accidentally ordered from another seller, Barrington is noticeably better.

When I opened the package I was impressed with the appearance of the wood, unfortunately when I took it out to my shop I discovered that the board thickness wasn't uniform. One board was a true 3/4 on one end and 1/2 on the opposite end, useless for building picture frames. Hopefully this was just a one off oversight because I planned on further purchases. Appearance is 5 star quality control?
