SPEEKAR Tri-Oval Dancing Water Show Fountain Speakers, Black

I bought this as a gift for a nephew, and didn't know anything about them before I bought them. I did get a chance to take a look before they went back home, though, and enjoyed seeing them in action. They are a pretty neat concept, and might be fun for a party, but I doubt that I would buy them for myself. The 16 year old giftee loves them, though, and they have gotten a lot of use already. He's gone through cheap speakers in the past, so we wanted to spend more for a pair that would last longer. They aren't exactly practical, but he like them, and that's what matters.The sound isn't very robust, about what you would expect for an item in this price range, but is nevertheless pretty good. There is some feedback at higher volumes, and they do tend to vibrate a bit on hard surfaces when the bass comes in, but I put some fabric under it to dampen the vibration and it helped (I think that there is some sort of material on the bottom to solve that issue, but it was still a problem for the ones we used). They are fun to watch when they get going, are built well and heavier than they look, more so than I expected for the price. If they stand up for another year at the same level of performance, I would consider buying them again. I would probably spring for a more expensive wireless/Bluetooth version, though, as the cords are cumbersome.

They do not connect via USB, they plug in via the music output of your computer. The connecting cable is pretty small and it was a tight fit with my current setup and I had to place them behind my monitors, so I can't even look at the lights. I also can't change the volume from the speakers themselves, it has to be changed via the computer's sound settings. Occasionally I like to plug in my xbox on one monitor so I can multi task and play a game at the same time while i'm on the computer, and not being able to change the volume is a big pain.

Awesome sound and the dancing water is neat. I am giving it a three star review though because mine came in with one speaker that didn't have any water in it at all. It was I Christmas gift so we didn't return it. My daughter said she liked the quality of the speaker, so it was not worth the hassle of returning. I also tried taking it apart to put water in and you could not add water.

Love these! The sound is great.. They work great and were very very very simple to hook up. I am not tech savvy at all and they were easy to figure out. Best of all because they do not come with instructions. The colors are great and the sound fills the room. Under each lamp is a velvet style non slip or scratch pad. All wires it comes with are needed for the speakers to work. Each speaker has water in it already so you will not need to fill it up. They are a little over 12 inches high I think.

Sound quality is amazing. Super loud which is awesome. When I first got it the water wouldn't bounce. After turning the cords for hours it finally started to work. Moved them to a different room a week later and the water stopped bouncing. Finally got one to work but then it soon stopped. Love the sound but sad that the water doesn't move anymore.

These speakers have great sound and to my surprise they are much better than those that came with my computer. I'd like them a lot even if they didn't display colors so that's just a really nice plus. I connected them to my sub-woofer and the total sound is unbelievable. I've been delighted with them, so much so that I ordered another set for my other computer. Considering the price I think they're one of the best bargains I've ever seen.

These were super cool for about 5 minutes. Then the left speaker broke and the water wouldn't shoot up. It took some toying with but we got to work again. Then found out that the volume has to be at a higher level for the water to even works which kind of sucks. But they are cool in general.

I just received my speakers today, and I just ordered them yesterday. I love Amazon. :) Anyway, they are awesome speakers so far. I fell in love with them as soon as I plugged the bad boys in. The sound is very loud and the light so is awesome. Since I just got them today I cannot vouch for their longevity as far as the lights and pulsing will last, but I will update if there are any problems. They were easy to install also. Just plug and play and listen.
