Bizarro World Pants?
I'm 6'3", and weigh 245#. I purchased the size 6 pants. These pants are a few steps up from the starter GI set (Proforce) I purchased when I started training. The rear pocket, which I thought was a goofy idea for gi pants, is actually very useful. I use it to transport my phone and wallet to and from the dojo. It's not secure enough to hold anything if you plan on doing anything more athletic than walking though. The drawstring appears to be of the standard one piece variety that comes in most athletic shorts/pants, as opposed to the two piece on the starter set. It ties on the inside of the waistband and is easier to cinch down than the looped drawstring on the starter pants. The new pants fit well around the waist, allow for high kicks, but are a tad long in the legs. This leads to my only real criticism of the pants. They put the care tag on the outside front of the pants, just below the proforce logo. I have worn clothing almost every day of my 37 years here on this earth and have never seen a care tag in such a prominent and visible location on a garment. I was so offended by this little scrap of cloth that I promptly took my pocket knife to it and cut it off. I probably should have drawn a breath, and read the label to learn its cotton vs. poly content, along with care results before I took to slicing, but I didn't. On the bright side, it was easy to remove, and there is no sign that the stupid thing was every there.Typically with high cotton content garments I will wash them warm, or hot, to get them to shrink to fit. It's nice to know the percentages when deciding how hot and how long to wash them for. Looks like I am going to have to wing it.Overall, the pants are a very good value for the $20 I spent on them. They don't look overly "kung fu", so you can use them for other athletic training as well without looking like a goober.I uploaded a picture of a different pair of Proforce pants that have the same dopey label on the front. It looks the same on both pairs.

I must say that the fabric quality of these pants is very good. As mentioned by other reviewers
1st off, I must say that the fabric quality of these pants is very good. As mentioned by other reviewers, the "care" tag is conspicuously attached to the brand label which is right on the front of the pants, but this is not a game changer as it is easy enough to rectify. Regarding sizing, this is a tough one, and why I am giving the pants only 3-3.5 stars. I have the unique position of being an extremely overweight (250 lbs at 5'4", right now, unfortunately) high brown belt ranking martial artist in Tae Kwon Do. The reality is that martial arts pants are not designed in any way for women, especially curvy women, even less so curvy, overweight women, lol. This is manageable when you are on the small to average size as you just get big enough pants and hem them up. Martial arts pants are meant to be baggy afterall! When you are larger, especially if you have a "24 hour glass" figure like I do (curvy, even when thin!), pants that are designed to fit men with long, lean bodies, even though baggy, are not the ticket, and very hard to fit. I specifically ordered the size larger than I thought I needed based off the sizing chart the 250-280 range, instead of the 220-250 range which turned out to be, of course, for someone gigantically tall, and, who presumably has a very heavy skeleton with lean muscle mass making up rest of the the weight based on how they fit (or didn't fit in my case). The thighs were actually pretty good, I expected the pants to be uber long, which they were and should've been based on the chart, but I thought the extra 30 lb limit would be enough to fit my hips and midsection and still be at least loose enough to breathe, but nope. Not even close. Very tight in the belly/hips AND the actual elastic waistband is even tighter-very cinched, why it even needs a drawstring, IDK, maybe because men are straighter in the trunk. Anyway, I probably won't try to exchange them for the next size up because I'm learning that, regardless of the brand, martial arts pants are not designed for women OR people who have a higher weight to height ratio. I'm sure these pants work fine for men and tall, lean folk, but it seems that moving up a size buys you several inches in length, but very little in width. Urrggg, was so hopeful. If they actually FITbased on the weight listing on the chart, I probably would've given them 4 stars.

If you need help deciding on ordering, read this.
I am 5' 11" tall and weight around 190lbs. I ordered the size 5 and they fit perfectly no need to have them altered. These pants are somewhat thicker than traditional karate training pants, around the thickness of a traditional Judo training Gi material. The construction of the pants are exactly like the traditional karate training pant with the extra material in the crotch area to allow for more range in movement and with the extra material in the legs allowing for baggy or "roomie" pants when worn. Before I purchased I read the reviews and one stated that the pants would not allow kicking over waist high, I can assure you this is not the case these pants are extremely comfortable and allow for full range movement even up to a full split. The only thing about the pants that goes away from the traditional construction of karate pants is the back pocket which is a welcome addition and makes these pants wearable for normal gym use as well. The other major complaint dealt with the black sewn in brand patch on the front of the pants, this is a matter of taste but I find it makes the pant more fashionable if you do want to use them in the gym for weight lifting or exercise classes that are not martial art based. Other than looks though the patch does not hinder the use of the pant while exercising or stretching.I gave these pants a full five star rating because they are everything a karate pant should be but improved by being made with thicker yet breathable material (55% cotton, 45%polyester) and a back pocket. I have to admit as an added bonus the pants just simply look very nice when worn, so as far as workout clothing goes they are a tough pant that will last made with plenty of room to stretch with for martial arts and fashionable enough to use in the gym as well - 5 stars.

so good..
So far, so good... Bought them for my 12-year old son, who takes karate. He likes them: length and waist fit well; colour matches his red gi pants, which were short. Came on time. Quality is decent.
