I used the maximum letters and spaces allotted. I don't remember a box where I could specify how the lines of type should read, but I had one way in mind and the engraver had another. Still a nice gift.

I gave this to my husband for our 27th anniversary. He is a hunter and outdoors man so I found this would be a perfect keepsake with being able to personalize the back. I am a little disappointed that It looks tarnished which I was expecting it to look more polished. My husbands only complaint was that it is heavy. He really likes it and thought it was a special and thoughtful gift. Great price for a keepsake that is personalized. FYI it is also accurate.

Nice-looking compass. We had it engraved on the back and our on gave it as a gift at his Eagle Ceremony to his Troop Leader. The first one was hard to read the 9 over that little pin hole. We let them know and they sent us another one quickly. It was perfect! Great customer service ! Would definitely use this company again!

This was purchased as a retirement gift for a long time Sunday school teacher. The engraving was nicely done. The only disappointment was the product’s finish was not polished as it was represented on site. It appears tarnished and I will have to hand polish it before gifting.
