The Gold Rush expansion is the expansion that truly mixes things up. The introduction of equipment can add for some unique opportunities and really put add a twist to your strategy. I would suggest that players become comfortable with the standard rules before adding this element into the game. While it is very fun, the added tactics might make BANG! a tad overwhelming for a newcomer. However, once you understand the basics of the game, it's easy as pie to throw this in. These cards are especially great if you're the type of player who likes to speed things up. If you find that rounds run too long and that game play with your friends is lagging, this is your solution. Having three extra options open to you at any given time can really get the party started if you're itching for some action. All in all, they took a chance with a new idea and knocked it out of the park. I introduced this to a group of BANG! veterans and it was very well received. Gold Rush really takes the game to the next level.

Best game for family game night! Each round is fairly quick. Some many characters and different roles to play- it’s never the same game twice. The expansions add complexity as you get better. Grab your favorite drink and get together with your friends and Bang!

this expansion adds another subsystem to the whole game and it adds more fun. it deserves a try and the box is big enough (without the plastic shelf inside) to hold all cards and signs that are available now.

Amazing addition to Bang! A group of friends and I have fallen completely in love with this game, and this expansion is a good one. Personal downside, is the characters in this have very overpowered abilities and we do not play with the characters

This dramatically changes game play. It comes with 'gold' blocks that can be acquired throughout the game and traded for bonus cards that also come in this expansion. The new character card does not add another player but makes the role of the renegade more complex. The cards must all be used with the 'gold' blocks so cannot be easily added to other packs. I don't suggest combining this with other expansion packs but it may be fun if it is your first expansion. The game itself is good quality, it just alters game play too much to be compatible with other expansions.

If you love to BANG! and you're looking for a new expansion to add some exciting new elements look no further. The gold rush expansion adds a great new gameplay mechanic by introducing gold nuggets you can save up and use as a currency to buy new items and equipment from the included Gold Rush deck. It also comes with 8 new characters who's powers apply to this expansion. If you have the Wild West Show expansion I would highly recommend combining the characters from that with the 8 from this expansion and exclusively using those two character sets with the Gold Rush expansion for some really great showdowns. This is a improve expansion over the wild west, added new game play element instead just punch of news card or characters. However this does make the game much longer, 4 player alone can take almost 2 hours to complete if play with all the expasion, i suggest you play with this without other expansion otherwise will make too long of a game. The gold nugget is very interesting game element added much needed depths, instead of pass too much focus at the character ability to overtake the game. This expansion does have a very over power character (end of turn can play another turn if the card drawn is red) and is 4 life too. He is only one is over power in the expansion, all other has some soft of gold nugget ability but ain't powerful. Golden nugget is best benefit at a big group, card such as indians and mass canons mean lots of gold nugget income. The golden nugget design is very nice, is too good see not just some cards.

This expansion improves on the gameplay. Any bang player will enjoy this mix up to the game. Would recommend. New characters bring more variation to the game and I can't wait for more. If you like westerns and what a fun hour of two with friend bang its the best. Hours of entertainment and good laughs.

Wir spielen Bang schon lange sehr gerne. Diese Variante ist sehr schön. Leider doch etwas teurer, aber es lohnt sich. Es gibt Nuggets, womit man extra Fähigkeiten kaufen kann. Außerdem sind neue Charaktere dabei, die auch zwingend sind, damit man leichter an die Nuggets kommt. Die Karten sind in Englisch und Italienisch, aber das hält den Spielfluss kaum ab.
